First thing, him and Scarlett got the goth entrance, which gives me Kevin Thorn and Ariel vibes. But, Kross looks more like Batista when he was Leviathan in OWV. Yet, outside of his entrance and occasional vignettes, I feel that Kross doesn't fully embrace the goth character that should be. He's got this cool spooky entrance that sets him apart, but once the bell rings, he comes off as Joe Average.
Is anybody feeling the same about him?

Yeah, there might be a few scattered around the place who feel similarly.

He's a ghost devil vampire MMA fighter whose manager is a ghost witch dominatrix. What's not to get? It's a very focused and clear gimmick that makes complete sense.
The serious actual answer is: You're not supposed to think about it at all. You're supposed to go "whoa cool entrance" and then go "whoa tough strong wrestler guy" and that's it. Remember: the writers assume the entire audience is idiots.

There’s a complete disconnect from the entrance to the guy. It seems like WWE thought, we have this duo in Kross & Scarlett that both have a great look, we can create a heavily produced entrance and they’ll be completely over. Scarlett carries that into her character, Kross is pretty much a big tough guy character, not much else.
That said, he’s the perfect guy to get over in a major way on either Raw or Smackdown.

Which is both something I sort of respect him for and a thing that the real response to is “That’s great…could you link that website to the writers of the show you’re on so they can put it on the show?” Because right now, it might as well be self insert fan fiction for how much it matters.

And we should have gotten a cinematic match between him and Damian Priest, so Priest could have used his vampire hunting crossbow to sever the heart of Kross.

I said this already but whatever the original idea and concept was for he and scarlett has been completely strip mined outside of his entrance to where as big as a supporter of him as I am and if we go by just around here I am maybe 1 of 3 if that that enjoy his work so I cannot even really tell you what the overall character is anymore and I knew exactly what it was when he first showed up.
Hell if ya wanna know how captivating the original concept was....his biggest and loudest detractor in Hash actually was hyped for him when he first showed up lol.
So idk who made the choice or why they did it but they have taken his biggest strength and removed it from him.

Karrion Kross should team up with Kane and become KrossFire and they come out to this.

You know, there's a very good reason Raven and Bray Wyatt didn't wrestle in plain black trunks.

I’ve thought that dude has pretty well sucked everywhere. LU, Impact, NXT. He’s one of those dudes that they will push and push but never really catches on I think. Some is his fault, some the WWE/promotions.

What I really wanted to happen was, when he got injured, the Karrion Kross spirit left that body and inhabited, I dunno, Kushida or someone. So then HE has the gothic spookiness and Scarlet and the powers. And meanwhile, the MMA dude is now suddenly on his own and has this dilemma of whether to try to get the evil back so he has more strength, or to try to make a go on his own merits.
But again, this would appeal to people who are paying attention to things for more than five seconds at a time, which is clearly not the audience they're going for.

Kross' gimmick kinda works against those he's already beaten because he comes across as big and imposing against someone like Gargano or Cole which is fine, but it doesn't feel like it would work against someone like McIntyre who I'd reckon is much bigger than he is. It doesn't seem right that this mysterious angry dark gimmick isn't for someone who's 7ft tall, but maybe that's because of what we've been used to, ala Taker/Kane.

Kinda like Del Rio except he is not a complete real life asshole Not gonna lie ,most I remember about him in LU is that he had a pretty bad-ass look.At least he had a clear theme.

It should have nothing to do with how big he is IMO because I can point to 5'10 Jeff Cobb and he would look like a mini next to pretty much everyone in WWE but he has proven that presentation can change perceptions very quickly. But I have also said that they need to stop doing the whole monster presentation for Kross and let him go back to the pseudo hit-man'esc gimmick he has rocked for the majority in his career specifically in Impact , scarlett can remain as is but let Kross go back to being a character instead of trying to make him into Bork Laser.

I am gonna spoiler this incase a certain someone wanders in here. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} THAT right there is using Kross to his complete talents....he was directly character driven he was used to move a story along and when he wrestled which sadly was not alot but that is a whole other bag of worms but when he did it was direct and fed into the character...what he did to Sami Guevara in the finale was so sickeningly beautiful...I have no doubt if THAT was the guy that walked into NXT everyone would be on his f***ing bandwagon right now.

There is definitely a disconnect somewhere. I think theres a lot of guys like that the moment. People talk about Priest and Wardrow (in AEW) like their future world champs. I dont see it at all. Kross and Black to me are can't miss talents, one has been released, the other has threads like this weekly. Theres something about talent these days I feel like their 80% there. But the one thing their missing, i cant seem to put my finger on, is it the with talent or the booking, probably a mix of both.

I can't believe so many of you don't see any future in a gimmick thats more or less just "person"
