I have a question for some of you - have you guys even checked that the other View Askew films that weren't directed by Kevin Smith? I mean like Drawing Flies, A Better Place, and Vulgar? The only one of those three I have watched was Drawing Flies and I thought it was passable for a student film but not for everyone either. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend anybody to watch it. I had heard that Vulgar is disturbing, and A Better Place, I heard that that one is mostly a serious drama. There is another one called Big Helium Dog, but I don't know a way to watch that one. That one was never released on DVD out here. I own Vulgar on dvd and Drawing Flies on Blu Ray, and I definitely watched A Better Place years ago. Vulgar is incredibly f***ed, but Bryan Johnston is a really f***ed up dude so it makes sense. I agree with your assessment of Drawing Flies and I honestly don’t remember much about A Better Place, I seem to remember it being rather cookie cutter in feeling I have since watched the other two. I ordered A Better Place off of eBay and streamed Vulgar. A Better Place was also pretty screwed up in some areas. Yes, the movie was rather low-budget and one of the leads didn't have any acting credits after that film. The acting from the other guy was great. He actually scared me, but I think that was the point. Vulgar, on the other hand, yes, that was screwed up as well. I don't just mean that infamous scene, but the whole dark comedy aspect made things a bit hard to stomach. It's like there was a comedic nature with some rather dark elements.

I wonder what kind of lies Kevin is gonna spin about this project. Then act like the victim when people call him out on it.
(I'm sorry, but after the whole Masters of the Universe debacle, I have no incentive to ever trust this man again.)

I remember buying Vulgar on DVD specifically because it included the Dogma documentary they weren’t allowed to include on Dogma’s DVD.
I thought Drawing Flies was pretty decent for a no budget debut film.

Also one of the reasons I paid fifty f***ing dollars for it when I found it at a local store.

I should check out The Secret Stash next time I'm in Red Bank and see if they still have copies of Vulgar there.

Just gotta clear up some paper work so I can enter the US again. Especially because my brother from another mother is buying tickets to Mania 2022 and wants me to come with him and the family EDIT: Or maybe it’s 2023 he’s aiming for. Can’t remember, which one is in LA? Either way, he buys the tickets and I only have to cover my travel

The new location is right across the street from this sweet retro arcade, too.

Regina or Winnipeg are my options, 3+ hours either way

There is no way Clerks 3 tops Clerks 2 for me, because my friends and I growing up would use "porch monkey" to describe us just hanging around on our front porches.
I assume one of us picked up the term from a casually-racist parent. I had no idea of it being a racial slur until seeing the movie.
So that scene in Clerks 2 just had me rolling.

I had never heard the phrase once in my life until Clerks 2. And I live in rural Manitoba, I’ve heard pretty much EVERYTHING when it comes to offensive slurs, we aren’t exactly an enlightened people here.

Honestly not sure if Elias is the one in green or gray. Gray. Green shirt is Harley’s boyfriend Austin (I think that’s his name). He moved in with Kevin when COVID started.

It makes me sad that with Brian Adams no longer with us, we'll never get that Bluntman and Kronik spin-off crossover.
That would have been a license to print money.
