Who is WWE at this point; Vince, Stephanie, Hunter, Brucie, Johnny Ace, and Nick Khan. Which one of them is going to understand the entire pro wrestling community as a whole? It would have been Canyon Ceman if not for a premature release.

Surely, FOX has to understand that there was LESS THAN Zero chance that Punk was going to walk back into a company that has HHH and Steph in it. ESPECIALLY not with Dr. Z-Pack still there. I mean, it's hard to say for certain, what with Punk going out of his way a few years ago to say he wasn't holding onto the grudge (though it's unlikely he'd just sign a contract without substantial guarantees of creative input and the right to time off, I would think). But even if he was a no-go, losing Bryan was absolutely avoidable. If they'd been open to negotiating with him to work in Japan, there's no reason to think he wouldn't still be there. In fact, every big ex-WWE name that's signed with AEW in the past year pretty much came down to "WWE could easily have kept them but instead almost pushed them into looking elsewhere". To say nothing of that's why Cody left and helped form it in the first place.

If Dragon did sign, I hope they can grab Paul London for a short run to finally give us the greatest tag team that never actually wrestled together.

One can only imagine FOX’s reaction if WWE let Brock walk away, on top of Bryan and Punk. Surely, FOX has to understand that there was LESS THAN Zero chance that Punk was going to walk back into a company that has HHH and Steph in it. ESPECIALLY not with Dr. Z-Pack still there. I think Fox at least expected the effort. They brought Punk back into the wrestlesphere with the deal to have him on their show. If there was an effort made and Punk said "I'm going to mail you a box of gorilla shit from poopsenders.com if you ever talk to me again" then Fox wouldn't have much to begrudge WWE for in this. But if the feeling is that WWE didn't ever bother with him because they don't think he'll be worth pursuing and he has zero star power left, that's not deals being rejected, and I can see Fox definitely being cross ther wasn't even an attempt made.

I mean, Fox went out of their way to ask the company about bringing him in when, really, they sort of knew the WWE Backstage experiment wasn't going to do that great because they likely hoped for something more down the line. So if they just went "Eh" when they sort of hoped WWE would try and have him on the show, likely hearing the chants on shows and not understanding the wider logic of it...yeah, I'd be a bit annoyed too. Like, if fans were chanting "Goldberg" every show in the same way, we'd likely be having the same conversation.

Did Bryan's contract lapse or did they release him? I remember a report along the lines of "Bryan convinced Vince/the office to release him in order to better sell the stipulation when he lost to Roman" but I doubt WWE would honestly do so without factoring in the possibility of him going elsewhere. He was actively asking them to let him do New Japan dates while under contract.

Bryan finished out his contract without renewing it, just like Moxley did. Theoretically, he could've started wrestling in New Japan, AEW, or elsewhere the moment it expired, but I think he wanted to heal up as well as be there for Brie and their children for awhile.

Looks like he wanted to stay home for few months and decide what he wanted to do next. He apparently decided to sign with AEW.

One of the photos he posted was Wrigley Field. Makes me hope one day they could do a show there. I don’t know how possible that is, but it would be insanely cool.

I'm very out of the loop with WWE and AEW these days but will definitely be watching if they manage to get Punk. What's the show I need to watch where he is likely to debut and when is it?

Their new Friday night show, Rampage, debuts on 8/13, but its second episode was just scheduled for the United Center on 8/20. Just by hinting at Punk they managed to sell the arena out, so you know it'll be a huge reaction there. They haven't formally announced him, and likely won't before the show, but that'll be the night he undoubtedly shows up.

AEW Rampage: The First Dance. Airing August 20th at 10PM EST. It will be at The United Center It's been pretty heavily implied he is debuting there. And just the notion that he is sold out this show and the United Center (Over 13K seats with the staging setup) by itself
