If they get Punk and Bryan, I say AEW will have a good core of WWE guys. Miro, Gunn, Hardy, Christian, Andrade, Jericho, Dustin, Dax, Hager, Black, Sydal, Pac, Spears, Wight and Henry. Good core of guys who have experience working else where, that can help boost the roster and knowledge of what it's like working in WWE. It can only help the rest of the roster. And people will continue to bitch about this fact because…I dunno…reasons 🤷🏼♂️

Welp. I’ll mark. Like a bitch fan boy, no lie. Up and down as I’ve been on Punk the last few years, still one of the biggest stars left in the wrestling world.
I’ve always secretly hoped he’d come back ,and besides fill his bank account, give back to the business.

Coming out of retirement to challenge OC to a Mimosa Mayhem match, obviously. It’d be the Pepsi Challenge, surely?

Saw this on Twitter. No joke, it made me kinda emotional. Wrestling just hasn't been the same for me since he left.

If it happens at All Out, I hope it’s at the beginning of the show. The last thing I want is for CM Punk chants to cloud the entire show.

A toast to Cultaholic, who regardless of outcome have just secured their next month’s worth of content

The first thing you should hear are the opening chords of Cult of Personality. One other thing - while I don’t think he’d want it announced this way I could see this being another situation where TNT demands a press release and wants people to tune in. Maybe he ends up on Dynamite or Rampage before All Out.

Win by knocking your opponent into your preferred beverage. If Orange goes into the OJ or Punk into the Pepsi, they Hulk up and start kicking ass.

I'm going to assume that he'll head back to WWE for his final run and this is a play for them to make a huge offer.

Not really sure that this would be a good long term get for AEW. While I’m sure that he would get some good buzz for his initial appearances and will almost certainly cut a shooty promo on the WWE, but after that what do you even do with him? He’s never been a workrate machine like Daniel Bryan and while he could obviously sell a feud with his promos it’s also been 7 years since he’s even wrestled and the pull that he had on people seems to not be as strong anymore. As usual I’m probably wrong on this take, but for how much they’d likely have to pay him I’m not sure if it would be worth it for a multi year deal or anything. Maybe a one year deal with an option to extend? 🤷🏻♂️ Yeah, I feel like the curiosity factor could be real strong. But then, not quite sure what they do next with him. I kinda think things have passed him by. What made Punk more unusual a decade plus ago is now fairly commonplace across the board. It'll all be completely worth it if one of his opponents does the crab walk, mind.

So my favorite wrestler of all time might be joining AEW? Excuse me while my day gets brighter and I mark the F out.

It'll all be completely worth it if one of his opponents does the crab walk, mind. I feel like you're selling him short in the ring. He was creative in adding to his offensive arsenal, and he was really good at building spots. And even though his joints were in rough shape, his conditioning was always excellent, so I think he can definitely keep up a fast pace even older. Just make him head of a stable, and the whole "you have to go through my underlings to face me" schtick will justify only having him wrestle on big shows.

He is gonna play both sides to see what he can get out of them and will then take the better offer if any of this is true. I expect complete creative control over all of his stuff is gonna be a huge if no THEE negotiating point that makes or breaks any deal because Money the dude has already made a lifetime of it so I doubt that is his main focus.

Have he and Colt reconciled to an extent that they could even be in the same room together? I get that Punk is a massive star and that Colt's presence on the roster wouldn't dissuade TK from making the signing if he can, but their bad blood goes a little deeper than your typical pro wrestling feud. Definitely my thought. I think if TK could sign Punk that Colt would have to put things aside. I wouldn’t be surprised that if this does happen that they’ve already reconciled. You don’t hear Punk talking about it much anymore. could be that he’s asked about it so much he just doesn’t want to talk about it anymore

I hate this. If it happens, its not a surprise anymore, if it doesnt happen, people get pissed. Same with the Bryan Danielson rumors. Meanwhile you get a million discussions about it happening at All Out? It doesnt, suddenly a great card is overshadowed. And of course now there are the "Signing too many WWE guys" conversations even though Punk and Bryan made their names in ROH and the independents.
I hope it ends on a positive.
So this is WWE rumors people now telling the "dirt sheets" where they think free agents are going? What world do we even live in now?
