If it weren't for AEW, I probably wouldn't be watching wrestling at all. It's not perfect, but I don't want perfection in wrestling. I just want people who care, people who have talent, people who are creative, and people who try.
And people who aren't constantly overridden by a 70+ year old egomaniac.

Hi obvious AEW marketing research plant! (Just kidding)
I haven't watched any episodes of Dynamite for a while, the last one I watched was the episode after Blood and Guts. Dark and Elevation, I've seen a few bits here and there, mostly Fuego matches and debuts. The only AEW related media I've been religiously consuming is Sammy's Vlog.
The reason is: out of my top ten least liked wrestlers/wrestling personalities working with AEW: one is AEW champion, two are tag champs, another three are involved in the Elite, one is women's champ, one is TNT champ, one just won the NJPW US title and the last one is Brian Pillman JR, f*** that guy*
It's like they're deliberately booking the show to make me not want to watch. It's frankly amazing.
*Only kidding about Pillman JR, he's awesome.

Both were very great cards and the Hangman/Elite segment on Night 1 was some of the best Elite stuff... like ever? Setting up what is going to be probably one of the best Elite involved things ever in that 5 on 5 this week As for Miro. Idk if you've seen any of his "Gods Greatest Champion/Redeemer" gimmick? But this is easily the best stuff he's done since Rusev Day and it's just completely different from anything he has ever done period. Probably one of the most interesting characters in wrestling for me at the moment.

My friend...
AEW makes me hate being alive less.
And sometimes, it makes me feel like a kid again.
They make mistakes, and have some significant issues, but overall? I'm not sure I've ever seen so consistently well booked a show. I really can't endorse it enough. There is something here for anybody.

I want AEW to succeed. I think they have tremendous potential and a lot of possibilities. The sky could be the limit.
But I also find it frustrating. I'll just say that I agree with 99% of what Jim Cornette says on his podcast reviews and leave it at that.

I am ambivalent towards most wrestling in 2021 but I watched both NXT and AEW this week and AEW was a hell of a lot better.

"Hey, I know you say you hate anchovies and are allergic to tomatoes, but Fyter Fest Pizza does the best anchovy pizza you'll ever taste!" I don't like Omega, I find the Bucks meh at best, The Local Brothers are boring at best, cringewothy at worst and I NEVER want to see or hear Don Callis ever again.

OP Question - Some of the best programming in years especially since they went back on the road. It is fantastic, IMHO.

Absolutely loving it currently. I had a blast at Dynamite in Charlotte. I feel like a lot of cool stuff is coming soon too.

I have been watching wrestling since late 1993 and the last year of AEW has been the most I have ever enjoyed myself as a wrestling fan.
I love it

I stopped watching for awhile, but since the crowd's have returned I'd say it's been essential viewing. I came back and I don't regret it one bit, there's been SO much going on it's crazy to step back and look at it all and think "all of this shit is really happening".

I've not missed a single episode of Dynamite and right now feels like they've really found their stride. There's a confidence and swagger about them right now and what with 'Opening the Forbidden Door' a sense that anything could happen at any given time.
I can't remember the last time wrestling felt like that and I've been watching on and off for the best part of 25 years.

Fantastic. So far, I've been finding myself enjoying it. For me, it holds a special place in my heart because it's what got me back into watching wrestling full-time.
Granted, there are elements about the show that I'm not particularly a fan of, but when it comes down to it, the company actually puts effort into booking compelling matches/storylines, giving their wrestlers suitable material to work with, and building new stars. That's where they've earned my respect.
There have been others like myself who have had a falling out with professional wrestling over the years, so to see a company such as this get people back into the groove of watching wrestling again is nothing short of amazing.

Its truly become "must-see" for me, as its given me the old feeling of wanting more the second it goes off air. Add that with the ever growing base of new stars (darby, JB, Starks, Sammy, etc..) It gives alot to look forward to

They have been on a roll since Double Or Nothing. With the Forbidden Door kicked down, and the imminent arrivals of Bryan and Punk, things will get even better!!
