... Feels like it's Jericho's swan song?
He signed his AEW Contract in January 2019, and it was a three year deal meaning it expires in January, and Jericho's not one who is known to sign a new contract right away. Usually he takes a break after his contract expires, but at his age I wonder if a break might be more of a retirement at this point.
The trial series he's facing feels like a farewell tour.
1st match: Midcard wrestler in the company he works for
2nd match: 1st time ever Fevered dream match Vs. Nick Gage
3rd match: A rematch with one of his greatest rivals.
I wonder what his remaining matches will be (And I'm really excited to see who else pops up), but it feels like it's setting up him putting over MJF on his way out the door to set up a big feud between MJF and Sammy down the line.
Any thoughts?

It certainly feels that way
I'm thinking Lance Storm in a submission match, but the Walls of Jericho is banned. Jericho wins with a Texas Cloverleaf in a nod to Malenko.

Yeah, I’m starting to feel that way too. It’s a great way to go out as the first two matches were really damn good. I’m wondering if MJF is going to make Sammy be one of the labors, that MJF would make Jericho fight his main protege. I imagine if Jericho is ending his career, he’d want to wrestle Sammy at least once. And yeah, he will put over MJF at All Out. Maybe add a retirement stip in there. We will see, I’m enjoying this last leg of this epic storyline.

I'm not going to say it's 100% a retirement but it does feel like the end of him as a full time guy because, well, it comes off as him doing what he's always wanted to do in some ways.
Like, him as a special attraction still has appeal.

It feels like match 5 will be with Lance Storm and then he gets his match with MJF on the condition that it’s a retirement or loser leaves town match.

I could see that. It was a surprise that he’s wrestling so often now. One thing I’m not clear on, is MJF the 5th labor or is it four and then MJF? Lance Storm would be perfect for the last one if they can get him in.

My gut tells me it’s… Labor 4; Lance Labor 5; Sammy with the stip that if Sammy intentionally lays down Jericho forfeits his match at MJF and god know what other trip wires to ensure they all but kill each other. Match with MJF that puts something on the line for MJF (hair?) vs Jericho’s career (or maybe, if Jericho isn’t on his way out, it puts up the Inner Circle as a whole. Jericho loses, Inner Circle permanently disbands?)

Definitely feels like he’s done-zo after All Out. Probably the occasional angle and match. I still think he’s going to be the commentator for Rampage.

Storm and the Sammy as the last matches would be awesome. I hope Jericho finishes his career in WWE so if this is his last time after MJF, then I’d selfishly want him back in WWE, but he’s used so good in AEW I doubt that’s the case.

Don’t think he’s done, but he is about to head out on tour and with COVID (somewhat) quieting down I imagine he’s not a full timer after now because of Fozzy
EDIT: However, every bit of storytelling logic dictates he beats MJF, so who knows? Bruno beat Zbyszko in their finale, I feel this should go similar even if MJF is destined for a huge rise. Not hard to heat him back up after, and I’m fairly certain he is the one to take the belt off Hangman

Jericho ain’t retiring. That guy loves wrestling. He clearly sees himself as Flair or Funk and will want to be a semi regular until he’s almost 60.
Now he could take a break after All Out, which would be fine, but there’s always new programs for him to do. He’s too involved with AEW creative and production to be gone.

Storm has to be one of the names approached for this, if he wants one final match to go out on a high note, it's probably this.

Pretty much every Jericho storyline since 2008 has had fans predicting its his swan song.

If all this leads to Jericho just losing to MJF again it seems kind of pointless.
I'm making a prediction that Jericho's losing to somebody during this whole gauntlet

Ok, take that off the table. But I stand by the rest of my theory 😂

It can be done without putting the actual stipulation on the match. If he's taking time off to tour, have him put MJF over, but do an injury/stretcher angle with Wardlow or someone else who can get the rub for taking out Chris Jericho. He's off TV while you build the guy up who took him out.
