That would be amazing. I don't buy or collecting anything wrestling anymore so I'm not someone who desperately wants a Mattel toy or anything but I would love to see Martha Hart working with AEW to make something happen to get Owen's name back in a bigger company not WWE. I'm all for WWE using the newer stars to put over the legends because WWE and the newer wrestlers themselves are giving no reason for us to follow them. On the other hand AEW brings legends in and uses them to help the newer guys because AEW is giving us reason to want to get behind them. I can see why a wrestling widow would see that there is a bigger level of respect for the legends without making them the center of attention. It is a bit of irony that AEW could possibly own a WWF gimmick (King of Harts) since they were trying to own names well established before stars got to WWF/WWE (Dudley Boys, Rhodes last name). It was especially cool seeing Haku billed as King Haku, which is totally a WWF creation. WWE never claimed the "Rhodes" last name, just "Cody Rhodes" since he never used that prior to starting his main roster run in WWE.

[/quote] The last name is what makes the character/gimmick IMO and WWE probably knew that. But the Rhodes name was not a WWWF/WWF/WWE creation and they should have no rights no it. Somehow WWE got away with keeping the rights so I'm all for AEW getting the rights to a random WWF/WWE characters name whether it be King Haku or King of Harts Owen Hart. I feel like Karma is a real thing and WWE needs to face their share at some point so I'm really hoping it has something to do with the Owen Hart family.

I also imagine Mark Henry working for them makes a possible deal more likely given his connection with Owen.

Doesn't make sense to me since AEW has no history with the Hart family. Bret did show up at Double or Nothing 2019 to officially unveil the AEW Title for the first time, so there’s that.

Nattie's gonna be the first to break down the biggest forbidden door and be co women's champ in WWE and AEW. Tony Khan: .. and so we thought “What could be the most underwhelming/disappointing way to break the final forbidden door and work together. Vince: *nods clearly having no idea what is happening*

Action figure via their deal with Jazwares, an appearance in game and other merch. The issue with Martha is with the WWE, a deal with AEW would help keep his memory alive without giving a penny to Vince. Yep, Martha doesn't hate wrestling, she's accepted HOF inductions for Owen in other wrestling halls, she and her children want absolutely nothing to do with WWE.

It's almost as if the WWF killed her husband. Right? Not proud of it, but I hold grudges over fairly minor stuff. Previous employers who’ve cheated me out of relatively small amounts of money, things like that. When I hear people say things like “the family should forgive and get over” their husband/father dying because of the company’s negligence…I don’t get it. But I don’t get how MOST wrestlers let things go. That way of thinking is, well, unthinkable to me.

That's barely an association with the Harts. I just don't see the value in giving Owen a tribute when he spent the majority of his time in WWE and they own most of the footage of his matches. What's AEW going to present for a video package?

I understand where you're coming from but Owen is a really unique case. Martha rightfully does not want to honor Owen through WWE. And they own his footage from his matches in WWF/WCW/Stampede (at least I believe they own Stampede's footage). There's New Japan but I get why that might not be the easiest solution given them being a Japanese country. AEW could be a way to honor Owen in front of the audience that knows him best (North American wrestling fans) while still getting to use footage from the rest of his career given their connections.

Owen was featured in the Legends of Wrestling game, and The King of Harts gear was one the outfits featured.

Him being in their video game would be cool. Really want to see him added to Retromania but thats just wishful thinking. Anything to honor him regardless of where he worked would be great.
He's one of my heroes not as much for his wrestling but for who he was a person. And if it makes his wife and kids happy that they can honor his wrestling history in a company that they feel they can support then that's great all round.
