There's something a little off with Mario's face. Like, it's a little too realistic.

Kind of feels weird introducing characters like Kamek in the movie where Mario is first coming to the Mushroom Kingdom, but it's not like Mario lore is rigid or anything.

Don't know how I feel about the penguins though.

Yeah, I know penguins have been there, but I just think it's kind of redundant given we already have the Mushroom Kingdom. I think penguins were around before that, I remember the stupid bouncy ones from Super Mario World 2.

The Penguin Kingdom is clearly to setup like Super Mario World, and Mario 3 where there are all sorts of different kingdoms besides the original Mushroom one.

which kinda I guess was to explain why in the first Game there were like 9 other castles >_>

When the render for movie Mario got leaked a day early via someone working at McDonald’s sharing it because they finally got the promotional material, the render got placed next to those from recent games and it was found that some of the subtle changes included movie Mario having smaller eyes and a bigger mouth(game Mario actually has a ridiculously small mouth), effectively inverting the ratio on the eyes to mouth.

Yeah, there’s plenty of non-acting stuff people can get on Chris Pratt about, apparently, but the idea that people can nail down if he’s any good based on two brief voice clips is insane and yet another indictment of the stupid “let’s dissect 90 second teasers for hours on end” content generation machine and algorithm. People need to get a damn grip.

And yes, Mario and Luigi are plumbers from Brooklyn. Bunch of danged Zoomers need to get over it and then get off my lawn.

I'm sure listening to that voice for 90 minutes won't get annoying for some folks. I think movie Mario and video game Mario should be seperate. Its like the hoopla over Ben Schwartz getting the nod to voice Sonic instead of Roger Craig Smith. Schwartz did a fine job and I think people should give Pratt the BOD since he did the Lego Movie just fine.

Martinet has said it'd be too much a strain on his throat to talk like that for an hour or more. Two hours if he's doing both Mario and Luigi.

He's already doing voicework in the movie as other characters.
