They should give the cruiserweight division a cool new moniker like the "Zero Division" and rename their show WWE Zero Limits. Then they can give it its own special on the network and call it "Absolute Zero." Robert Downey Jr is the only person not allowed on the roster I got that reference.

I like what they're doing with it now, but they should change the name of the show.
Oh, and MAKE ROBERT STONE THE GM!!!

Night of the sexy jobbers. 205 Live Mainstay Valentina Feroz and her dancing tag team partner Yulisa Leon take on the tandem of sexy crossfit girl Erica Yan and Fallon Henley aka Tesha Price aka the girl who dumped Grayson Waller for L.A. Knight.

At this point just make it the equivalent of Elevation. Is it even broadcast anywhere outside of the Network?

That Lash Legend vs Sarray match from last night was absolutely abysmal. At this point, they just need to take Lash off of TV entirely and repackage her. She can't cut a promo, her talk show segments are almost universally disliked, and to say she is green would be a massive understatement. She is not TV ready in the slightest, even for 205 Live. She just needs to go back to the PC full time at this point.

I guarantee you Vince has forgetten this show even exists.
You could say "shouldn't we rename 205 Live?" and he'd say "what Live?"

This was in the official preview for 205 Live tonight (which features Josh Briggs vs Joe Gacy): "The purple brand will now occasionally play host to matches where one or multiple Superstars eclipse the 205-pound weight limit, setting the stage for a colossal main event between Gacy and Briggs!" So it's basically just Velocity now. Thoughts... 1) So it's like when TNN couldn't quite call itself Spike yet, so it called itself The New TNN. 2) What's next? Cartoon Network showing live action? Oh wait...

WWE chose quite possibly one of the worst clips possible to post from that Lash/Sarray match. Although to be fair, that was the BEST part of the match.

I feel like we've been sold a false bill of goods with Legend, because all I'd heard about her was that she was some Bianca Belair-esque athletic phenom and that hasn't seemingly translated to the ring yet.

She's been there for almost a year. I just wonder what they're teaching these people (especially the girls) when they're training day after day after day.

On one hand, Legend seems to be the only one of the greenhorns that is seen to be notably struggling. Yeah, I know Jacy Jayne's had a few issues, but a lot of that was going for more high-level offense like suicide dives and whatnot. On the other hand... We haven't seen many honest-to-goodness greenhorns in this reboot yet, have we? Jayne's got some indy experience, so has Gigi Dolin, Cora Jade, Elektra Lopez and Persia Pirotta. People like Ivy Nile or Amari Miller or Valentina Feroz (to name a few) have either shown themselves to have the basics down-pat already without really showing out (although Nile has some creative power spots), or just haven't had the interrogation spotlight put on them yet because they're not going against an under-utilised Japanese joshi.

I'll be blunt. Her "talk show" schtick is absolutely horrid and easily one of the worst parts of 2.0. And she can't really go in the ring either. Supposedly this is only her second match ever, so I'll cut her a tiny bit of slack, but I'm not giving WWE any leeway, because she's been signed and in the PC for well over a year now, and if this is the best she has to show, then it's hard to imagine her improving enough to be watchable. And this is all ignoring the absolutely abysmal promo she cut after the match. As for the false bill of goods being sold, just look at Twitter. Anyone who calls out Lash as subpar or not great is immediately dogpiled on. She's nowhere near being the next Bianca. If anything, she's closing in on being Tamina 2.0 in terms of mobility and offense. The part that really irritates me are the people blaming Sarray for Lash's sloppiness. While there are some bright prospects from the non-wrestler crowd, it feels like for every Bron Breaker (who is actually rapidly improving), you have people like Boa or Lash who seem to have very little to no upside.

I remember a couple years ago we had reports saying how Jessamyn Duke was impressing the coaches and the people in the PC and we were receiving reports about how much of a natural she was. And then when we actually saw her work matches and....yeah. So, as far as Lash Legend goes, excuse me but I'll believe it when I see it.

Lash is a great athlete but that doesnt always translate. Important thing to remember is development Kent always linear. That being said, yeah a lot of people are getting attacked on twitter for being critical of Lash in this match. On one hand I get it as she is very inexperienced and this was one of her first matches. On the other hand WWE sometimes tends to get careless when they have someone they want to push and will put them in positions to set them up to fail... what is weird is normally with the bigger wrestlers they tend to do a better job of protecting them

What doesn't help is that they still haven't returned to doing the Florida loop of house shows for these newer talents to get their reps in, both in terms of in-ring time and in portraying elements of their character (as much as one can do on a house show, anyway), so that by the time they actually get to TV, you see way less of this greenness. They haven't done one since before the pandemic, you know. Hell, I don't even know if they'll ever go back to doing them.
But doing whatever they're doing in between NXT TV tapings just isn't the same. You don't get the same kind of feedback from doing practice matches in front of coaches who could be looking for one thing in one moment and end up getting told to look for something else in the next without any hint of that to the talent, as you do in front of a live crowd.
