One of the most hilarious baffling things I have seen in awhile. Did no one ask themselves....how the f*** does an ONLINE school have a football team? lol They exist (in my state they have joined up with those students that are home schooled), but there are a lot of hoops online schools need to jump through in order. There's a scandal right now where 2 "online schools" were able to cash out over $440,000 each from the state; despite a supposed 4,200 enrollment where less than 10% attended one class per week. |

I didn't know "online schools" had athletic teams either. I have a buddy that went to a special private school that didn't have athletics. The state athletic organization allowed him to play sports with his in-district public school team. I know that's a bit of a different scenario, but still.

How did anyone fall for this? Like, even the slightest bit of due diligence would reveal how fraudulent this whole thing is. Even the name sounds fake.

Go read all the coverage on Awful Announcing, they've been on top of this story from the jump and have a lot of interviews with people around the school, Ohio HS Athletics, etc. It's been some of the best work they've ever done. |

I dont even have to look at all of it to know how scams with even the slightest bit of religion sprinkled in there, fool people who are desperate. |

So, the Ohio Department of Education concluded their report that, yes, this school was a scam. Ideally we should see more drastic action but I doubt it as we may see the players just rearrange the deck chairs in a year or two. amp.usatoday.com/amp/8941257002 |

Just saw the HBO Documentary BS High. Felt so sorry for those kids and the way they were taken advantage of. As expected the coach shows no remorse. The man is a complete sociopath.
