Frodo's journey is the most boring shit I have ever read. And he became a damn fantasy trope no less.
The latter two Song of Ice and Fire books sucked ass.
Dean Koontz book series' is not worth reading.
I do not mind ghost writers in fiction.

I don't think that SOIAF opinion is an unpopular one lol.
Titus Andronicus is one of my favorite Shakespeare plays.

The Talisman is Stephen King's best book. It's wildly imaginative and creative. It also reads easy.
It's also basically unfilmable without butchering it into nothing. Sorta like The Dark Tower. Would require a series instead of a movie.

The Fight Club movie is superior to the book as far as being a palatable experience, even if it misses a lot.
I hate everything I have ever read by Dickens.

When someone licks their fingers to turn a page in a book, the book should moan.

A Feast for Crows is one of the best books in George R. R. Martin's a Song of Ice and Fire

That is definitely not an unpopular opinion. ADWD and AFFC are easily the two least popular books in the series so far. I personally agree with ADWD being the worst book in the series, though I liked AFFC more than most.

Arthur Machen's "The Terror" is the epitome of creepiness. I've not read a creepier book, not seen a creepier movie, not played a creepier game. It's eeriness needs to be analyzed so writers can learn from it.
Classic girl fiction is vastly superior to classic boy fiction. It's not nearly as adventourous, but lord does it strengthen the soul.

Stephen King is at his best when he's being bug-f*** crazy, e.g. "Trucks" or "Quitters Inc."
I love Richard Laymon's books but I don't think he ever wrote a believeable human being once in his entire life.
Edward Lee needs an editor. If he doesn't have one, all his flaws as a writer get exaggerated and devolve into try-hard edgelord crap.

Stephan King is best left to the movies. He’s famous for a reason but I can’t stand his books. I’ve never successfully finished one.
Great stories, but the man needs an editor.

The fact that Harry's kid isn't named after Hagrid damn near ruins the entire story for me. Like seriously, Hagrid is the one dude at Hogwarts that basically loved Harry like a son and always did everything in his power to help and bring comfort. Snape's an asshole for 99.7% of everything. He's even an asshole when he's trying not to be an asshole at the end. So of course let's honor Snape!

Yeah his short story collections IMO are his best work. Dude knows how to tell a spooky story in a short period of time. And none of them overstay their welcome like his books do.

Hero doesn't mean "not an asshole", it means being admired for the brave acts you perform. Snape was undeniably brave for nearly 20 years by being a double agent for Dumbledore, and had both his respect as well as Harry's in the end. Snape's both an asshole and a hero, which is what makes him so intriguing. Alan Rickman played both sides of the character's personality brilliantly. Maybe I'm the one with the unpopular opinion, though, because of the way I view it as opposed to others *shrug*
