I think it's a great use for them precisely because they are dull and uncharismatic. Bland nonentity guys are exactly who a meta "wrasslin' is serious business" manager gimmick should be promoting. Like Cornette's whole obsession with Matt Morgan.

Scorpio Sky hatred is abnormally prominent on FAN. He’s reasonably well-liked other places, from what I’ve seen. I think his current Midgard tag team role is perfect for him. I know you meant Mid Card but now I cant help but think that a Tag team Division called Midgard would be bad ass Screw it, throw Scorpio in a Norse themed team. Happy autocorrect accident.

Eh, the “he’s supposed to be a hypocrite” is a good point, but I really don’t think that’s how it’s being played. It feels more like Lambert’s got “his” promo style, and they stuck the MotY with him, but he hasn’t modified it to suit them. He just keeps doing HIS promo. Which again, I like. It just doesn’t fit them and their jive. I’m not even a Scorpio Sky hater, I just don’t like this pairing.

I don’t like him. I fast forward when he’s on. Tonight I was there live and happy to join the “STFU” chant.

I think that stands out because, even if a lot of people here aren't into the Men of the Year, the two of them have done just fine in promos. The worst I can say about either is that Ego is hammy and Scorpio is a little one-note (and not super convincing in that note) in his current character. It's weird that two guys who can competently contribute are standing around silent for someone else's shtick, especially when they're supposed to be egotists who are all about hogging the spotlight.

I still say this is all going to be worth it and then some if the end game is Archer and Minoru Suzuki killing all three of them.

I just want somebody, ANYBODY, to point out on TV that Scorpio and Ethan do the exact things that Lambert rails on every week.
I can't wait until this guy is done, I know everyone keeps saying how great of a heel promo he is, but his entire schtick is "AEW sucks, Millennials aren't tough, they like TOYS!" and I hear enough of that shit on Twitter and FB, I don't need it in this company. Shit's as tired as "You Local Sports Team SUCKS!" heat to me.

While I enjoy Men of the Year and Josh Alexander’s x division run.
I’d kill to see The North in AEW tag division

I absolutely love Ethan Page and within a year I think he's going to become one of people's favorite parts of Dynamite.
Scorpio Sky I prefer as a face, and I think the reaction he got after the Jericho stuff in late 2019 is a testament to that people do want to cheer the guy when given a reason.
Scorpio and Ethan being two guys who are allied but not focused on tag teams I think could be a cool dynamic.
Lambert I'm still trying to figure out why he's following AEW on the road to hate watch in person.

Lambert I'm still trying to figure out why he's following AEW on the road to hate watch in person. Eh, people are weird. Hate watching in general is a weird concept to me. Like, people getting up in arms about Addison Rae getting a Netflix deal even though He’s All That wasn’t exactly praised were mostly the same people that hate watched the fecker. Netflix isn’t going to look at the reasons people watched, just that they watched. Lambert is paying money likely to get Skyboxes and stealing live mics. But he’s still paying money to the company. It doesn’t explain it but that’s how I see it.

Lambert had a tangible motivation to wage war with the Impact roster, as he felt pro wrestling was disrespecting his MMA brand and it fueled the American Top Team vs. Impact Wrestling feud they were pushing. Here, he just showed up one week to trash the show, and we still don't really know why he's in AEW or what exactly his grudge is with the AEW fanbase. And we don't really know why Sky and Page are with him to boot, other than them having martial arts backgrounds that really never factored into their ring style (now, if Ethan was playing his Karate Man gimmick...). We really do need them to make some progression as opposed to having him cut the same promo over and over again.

Not really feeling his “I’m Jim Cornette but more boring” routine.

I don't hate Men of the Year. There's something there about them that's likable that just isn't coming out for some reason. Lambert, though, I would be happy to forget he even exists. All he does is shout and try too hard to be the kinds of people that AEW's younger audience are likely to hate. Its the worst kind of cheap heat possible, because it turns into immediate go away heat. Someone mentioned how it's in the same category as insulting the local sports team, but I'd actually rather that. At least most people understand that not everyone is a fan of their team and don't actually hate them being put down, they just disagree with it.

Lambert has all the irrationality of a political/cable news talking head, except only in a semi-political way. I think it might work, but then again I thought Zeb Colter was going to be the biggest heel in wrestling at one point (and look where that went).
It certainly makes me want to see them get absolutely trounced by a babyface team, with Lambert taking a bump for good measure.

At least something like Archer threatening to murk Lambert, but Sky and Ethan stop him until Archer’s ally evens the odds. Boom. Tag match set up.

The shouty interviews serve a purpose: when you leave the room to take a leak, wash your hands, check your phone & maybe grab a sandwich, you know how long you have before you need to return. When it gets quiet, you're safe to come back.

Ethan Page has so much potential and Lambert is the perfect "boomer" to piss off a new aged crowd. Love it. If I was running a company in the 90s, Lambert would be an intentional sign for me.

I don’t like him. I fast forward when he’s on. Tonight I was there live and happy to join the “STFU” chant. Not being there live, I fast forwarded like I usually do. It's not a good fit, and it's so try hard it's cringe at this point. Plus it's essentially the same promo every single time, kinda like someone else I really don't like I hope they actually take a step in the storyline next time he's on, because it's "go away heat" for me right now.

Ehh, I liked his first promo, but this did not need to become an actual angle. Just hope it's wrapped up soon. However, if it leads to Jorge Masvidal getting to do some shit in AEW, then cool.
