This is a day one purchase for me. Our kid loves to watch me play Spider-Man (both games so far) and the first was easily one of my favorite titles on the PS4. Curious what other villains besides Venom get used. We also know about Kraven, but we'll see from there. My guess on the main villain is pretty much that it's going to end up being Green Goblin, Carnage, or Red Goblin. Kingpin is also most likely coming back.

I don’t really think we need a whole bunch of villains this time, 3 tops. Save Green Goblin until the third game.

The pretty much total absence of boss fights in the Miles game is one of the bigger black marks on it.

I know he's a joke villain but I could see a reimagined Spot be a fun one to fight. Spider-Man has such a deep rogues gallery that they can take some chances with who they use.

He is in Across the Spider-Verse so it is pretty possible.

Curt Connors appeared as Osborn's lab assistant in the post-credits of "Miles Morales", and I believe one of the collectibles in the base game confirmed Spidey had fought him before, so we may get a Lizard boss fight in this game.
Plus, apparently Morgan Michaels (the scientist who worked on Devil's Breath) is a sometimes-used alias for Morbius, so while maybe not a villain, we may get him in the new game.

Yeah, you get a vial of Lizard Blood in one of the Backpacks.

Which brings me to Mysterio needs to be in one of these games. Dudes power sets are tailor made for video games. Hell make him the challenge person instead of Taskmaster this time.

So, I decided to go on TVTropes to see how many possible enemies actually get referenced but don't actually appear in-game. -Lizard: mentioned previously, Dr. Connors appears in the post-game stinger for "Miles Morales", a vial of his blood is a collectible (gross), and one of the scientists is dressed like him at the university Halloween party (which is kinda messed up, if you think about it. Like, that dude was probably one of their colleagues at one point, and they're dressing up as the worst thing that ever happened to him). -Sandman: trapped in a vial in Peter's possession. -Mysterio: collectible piece of his helmet, scientist dressed up as him at Halloween Party. -The Jackal: Peter has a college thesis graded by "Dr. Warren", likely Miles Warren. (Personally, I'd save this for a possible third game, maybe try to redeem The Clone Saga) -Morbius: "Morgan Michaels", the doctor working on Devil's Breath, is a sometimes-uses alias for Michael Morbius. Plus, his character bio mentions him studying genetic diseases and looking pale, so he may already be working on the treatment that turns him into a vampire. -Chameleon: Peter thinks the Fake Spider-Man from that one subquest might be Chameleon impersonating him "again", implying it's happened before. Also, he's Kraven's half-brother. -Silvermane: mentioned in the DLC as one of the Maggia heads. -AIM: Doctor Octavius bought some of his new tech later in the game from them. Possible MODOK appearance in the future? -Hobgoblin: there are "Kingsley's" fashion magazines at some news stands in-game, referencing Roderick Kingsley. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Wraith- Gotta resolve that Yuri plotline from the DLC.

You forgot the single most important one, Swarm. And yeah, that whole Halloween party is weird. Everyone there is dressed as mass murderers.

I also forgot Man-Wolf, aka John Jameson III, cuz he tweets a lot from space in the game. He may not currently be a werewolf... but he could.

I’d say for the main game, use
Lizard Venom Kraven Wraith/Chameleon
Whichever one between Wraith and Chameleon that doesn’t get used can be the main villain for the DLC.

I really wish they weren't even doing the Wraith stuff. Yuri's so much more interesting in the main game than she is in the DLC.

Guessing we get a Miles vs Peter fight in here at some point going by Pete's attitude. The action continues to be very cinematic and intense. The new gadgets and powers will be terrific to play around with. Looks like they're going GTA V with how you switch characters. Overall it looks to be an absolute blast
With that said, now to put together my wishlist for collectable suits this time.

Feel like when this thing rolls around it's going to take a lot of willpower not to just get it at launch and wait for a sale because it looks damn good and I've been meaning to replay the first one anyway.
