Ricky’s still developing and I’m still high on the idea of Swerve ending MJF’s reign early next year. I think Starks is in a decent spot as of now even though I don’t feel he needs to keep being a heel for much longer.

That's another reason I said he's ended up in a similar situation to Sammy, too many turns, it puts him in the catch 22 situation where being a heel is holding him back but another turn would also hurt him. Maybe it's Paul Wight's influence. He does have a higher ceiling than Sammy though so more chance he can break the cycle, however wherever he ends up in think he'll ultimately always end up in the role of making the bigger stars look good. Which can be fine and make you a multiple time world champion if you're lucky, especially in WWE.

Even then people thought Punk should be the heel and not Ricky, but why would Punk, the guy constantly trying to go for cheap Elite Heat, go full heel when he can be a confusing "I'M THE REAL CHAMPION" character? I do think eventually, Ricky going back face makes sense, but as it stands after the Danielson feud, I really think him and Big Bill have something and I'm glad they capitalized on it, more so I'm glad they seem to be getting a decent title reign instead of immediately losing them to FTR again which seemed to be Dax's initial plan.

Strap that man up, and I mean strap him up f***ing soon
Idk what the world title picture looks like yet but he needs to be involved after winning that. That was an indicator they trust this man and are going all in.

Rightfully so!!
Hangman (someone who believes in race relations and believes Swerve would be world champion had Swerve had the same opportunities) was just pinned by Swerve after his kid was brought up in a feud. Thank you Hangman for believing in the cause and the point of this thread.
SWERVE HOUSEEEEEEE

If Swerve hasn’t won the AEW World Championship by this time next year, something has gone very wrong.

If Swerve hasn’t won the AEW World Championship by this time next year, something has gone very wrong. If he's not champ by the end of the next PPV, then something has gone very wrong. There's nowhere else for him to go besides win the AEW title, and anything else with how hot he is right now is just punting someone on fire for no particular reason.

I dont think it's next PPV unless Joe vs MJF happens on TV If it does, by all means. My call is Revolution personally but we'll find out.

I’m really hoping it’s some sort of elimination chamber type match at World End as they are building up so many enemies for MJF. Swerve defeating all of them to end the year is what he deserves.

I feel like Swerve and Ricky have both hit the next level (Ricky unfortunately happening mostly on Collision but still) next up Hobbs

Swerve once again repeated on TMZ that he feels he can be the first Black AEW World champ

The fun thing is that if Swerve is the guy to take the belt off MJF, it's going to be 1 of 2 ways. Either he reveals that he is "The Devil" and his minions will help him win OR he'll be having a match with MJF for the title when "The Devil" interferes and costs MJF the title.

Read a bit of chatter about this win in some other threads, but it's 100% worth highlighting here.

Unless injuries take him out, Swerve is 100% getting that world title next year. It's not even wishful fan thinking anymore, as I'm pretty certain AEW is putting him into that champion elect position.
