in a world full of Jon Gruden's be more like Jeff Fisher in life Fun Fact: Jeff “7-9” Fisher has a better win percentage as a head coach than Jon Gruden.

Man, coverage of the NFL on TV is sometimes really annoying. I’ve been busy, so I didn’t watch any clips about MNF for a day or two. Every show more or less made the the Ravens’ victory about Lamar Jackson being a god-like superhero and missing the point where the Colts lost that game. Amazingly, it was Undisputed that was the only one that I watched so far that eventually got to the real point, but only after spending 10 singing Jackson’s praises first. It started with a throw away comment from Shannon about the Colts running out of DBs, which Skip came back to a minute later and explored with some depth. Make no mistake about it, injuries were the main reason the Colts lost, though Reich and staff didn’t manage those injuries well at times either. If Blankenship was healthy he probably doesn’t miss that XP. Even if he did (which he’d never done before), they don’t go for 2 on the next TD. Either way, that game never goes into OT if the kicker isn’t hurt. Injuries had forced the Colts to play backup DBs to start the game, but they did a decent enough job containing the Ravens’ offense until a series of in-game injuries forced them to play mostly 3rd string DBs, none of whom even started the season on the roster (and one who technically isn’t on the roster as he was a practice squad call up). That’s the pass coverage Jackson started abusing for their comeback. It’s also what kept the defense on the field too long and gassed the pass rush, making Jackson even more effective. Don’t get me wrong, I know the Ravens had their own injuries to deal with, but that was the story of that comeback and nobody hardly even touched on it. I'm pretty sure the second string waterboy was in there at cornerback by the end.

The one thing in all this, and maybe I've missed it, but how has ESPN escaped this so far? He was working for them while doing all this but not a word about them compared to the heat the Raiders and the NFL are taking. We know he'd still be there is not for Davis and that crazy contract offer. Add in that Adam Schefter email as well to WFT then President Bruce Allen and him sending his article to Bruce Allen for "approval" before he published it on ESPN itself He tried to clean it up saying "he took it too far" calling Allen his editor

Eagles traded Zach Ertz for Rookie CB Tay Gowan and a 5th Round Pick
Hope Gowan works out cause otherwise a lot of Philly fans are sad and just have another reason to want Roseman's head on a stick...

Am I right to assume it’s a little more “Hurts isn’t really a good QB yet” and less “Ertz is washed” with his decline this past season+?

So Washington announced they're going to retire Sean Taylor's number. And didn't bother to tell the family about it.

NFL has reported that no one else is implicated in those emails. Thank god Allen was only in a deplorable conversation with that one guy, according to the source who looks the worst if more is found. That was a close one, guys.

Pat Mahomes got to talk to his family
Apparently his brother was dancing and creating a Tik Tok video on the Sean Taylor memorial

Just in case anyone questioned how much a sham this Sean Taylor retirement was.

While Aaron Rodgers has completely disavowed his family at all costs, Mahomes surrounds himself with family members who do nothing but embarrass him at every turn (ex: his brother dancing on a memorial to a beloved football legend, the social media accounts of his fiancee and his mother).

Dan Orlovsky called Joe Judge "Timmy Toughnuts" and that's what I'm calling that walking football coach cliche from now on.

Well Colts fans, you’ll be shocked to hear that WR Parris Campbell is hurt and will miss significant time. I’m shocked. I’m sure you are too.
