I'm still sad that you can't just pay off the 3 million yen "debt" to Kaneshiro in NG+ when you're balling. Granted, it'd break the narrative of the game, but it would be funny. Giving in to the blackmail demands of a mob boss doesn't seem like a good idea even if you do have the money. The same thing with giving Kawakami the 100,000 yen she needs. It's just a short term solution to a larger problem.

Makes me wonder why they didn't put a value on it that was higher than the cap. Though I also don't really get why they didn't raise the cap in Royal, it was easy to max out the money as it was and Royal made it even easier.

Embarrassing to admit, but it wasn’t until the final dungeon on my first NG+ that I realized that you could select which shadow you negotiate with if you hold up multiple ones. I’d have done a quicker job filling up my registry had I known that earlier (as it is I still have about 13% left to go. Imma grind in the final dungeon in order to afford to do it. Money Reading plus Mementos stamps plus Ryuji's instant kill together basically make lategame money grinding a pretty much entirely automated process. I grinded up a bunch of Personas to having 99 in every stat on my New Game Plus run and even with the constant fusions I was pretty much always maxed out on money in between Velvet Room alarms. I have the original, not Royal. Instant kill only nets masks, which becomes redundant and useless. It’s why in this playthrough Ryuji is one of only two Confidants I didn’t max out (and likely will do so on any future playthroughs). Unfortunately, I didn’t think to get a money reading before going into Mementos. As far as stamps go, is that a Royal thing or is that another thing I missed?

Essentially are collectibles you can find that drastically and permanently (unless you opt to turn them off) increase the amount of money, items, and experience you earn in Mementos.

I finally beat Persona 5 Royal. I thought I over levelled as I spent the last part of the main game insta killing everything and the final boss of the main game was rather easy but then I took on the final boss of royal and that was kind of annoying. Not Space Station boss annoying but rather up there
I do have about 11 thieves den awards to do but I don't feel like jumping straight back into the game again right now.
I did grab Strikers in a sale this week and might go straight into that but I thought I would ask if anyone had any suggestions of any games like this for me to play next, Or if the older Persona games are worth playing?

I did grab Strikers in a sale this week and might go straight into that but I thought I would ask if anyone had any suggestions of any games like this for me to play next, Or if the older Persona games are worth playing? Persona 4 Golden is on Steam and is basically to P4 what Royal was to P5. Persona 3 Portable (called that because it was originally released on PSP) is also going to be heading to a lot of current/last gen systems and PC soon along with P4G. P3P sacrificed a few things like anime cutscenes and field maps for city areas (instead it's 100% menu based) to fit within the PSP's limitations. It also doesn't have "The Answer" scenario from Persona 3 FES on the PS2. But it does have an alternate scenario with a female protagonist instead original male one, whose route also has unique music for daily activities and battles. She also has unique social links and can romance the male characters (and a couple of female ones, making her the first LGBTQ+ playable character in the series).
Persona 3 was the first "modern" Persona game and whose "dungeon crawler meets school life sim" style P4 and 5 followed in and improved upon. There were remakes of Persona and Persona 2 Innocent Sin that came out on PSP, but YMMV on if you'd enjoy them or not. Persona 2 Eternal Punishment, the sequel to P2IS, came out on the original Playstation, but its PSP remake was Japan only (ironically, the original version of Innocent Sin was also Japan only).
With Persona 5 Strikers, keep in mind it's technically a Dynasty Warriors-style game, though the stage layouts are far more like standard RPG dungeons than "You and mook army make your way across a giant battlefield killing more mooks and gaining control of fields along the way" like other Warriors games. It also has MegaTen staples like using status effects and elemental weaknesses. In terms of gameplay it's like a mesh of Warriors and the more recent MegaTen action RPG's like the Raidou Kuzunoha Devil Summoner games.
Another thing with Strikers is that it was in development concurrently with Royal. So all the Royal-exclusive characters and story beats don't get acknowledged in P5S. It's strictly a sequel to the original game.
If you're looking for other MegaTen games, Soul Hackers 2 on the PS4 is worth getting once it goes on sale. There's also Shin Megami Tensei V on the Switch though it is significantly harder than P5, even on Easy mode. If you're looking for other "high school life meets RPG" style games, the The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series by Falcom is worth checking out.

Yes, but are you actually recommending those Persona games or just acknowledging their existence? I might like to know the answer regarding them as well.

I recommend both P3P when it comes out and P4G. I never played Persona or Persona 2 Innocent Sin PSP, but I didn't like the original version of Eternal Punishment at all. Granted, I was like 20 when I played it and my tastes have changed significantly since. Revelations: Persona, the original PS1 version of the first game, also has a godawful localization so I wouldn't recommend that on principle. But it's also neither here or there because you're probably going to have to spend a pretty penny on the secondary market for any of them, as well as a buy working PSP that can play UMD discs (so not the PSPGo or the Vita) to play them on. Only other way to obtain them is the digital seven seas. Arrr.
Maybe if we're extremely lucky, Sony/Sega adds Persona and P2IS PSP to the PSN+ catalog one of these days, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

I don't think anything's really lost with Persona 1 not really being accessible anymore but it does suck that the only way to play 2 legit outside Japan is to play the PSP version of Innocent Sin followed by the PS1 version of Eternal Punishment.

Still grinding after turning down the offer in the final dungeon. I am not grinding to be able to win as I’m already at that level. I’m grinding to get enough cash to fuse all possible personas. Most of the ones I fuse repel physical attacks and cut SP costs in half.

If you do a NG+, look up a fusion guide to get Satanael as soon as you're able to do multi-persona fusions (assuming you can inherit the Twins' ability to pay to fuse personas beyond your character level). He is ridiculously powerful. Only thing that sucks is the high SP cost for all his skills, but the stats alone are worth it. Especially at lower levels.

It's why I've been struggling with it. I know there is an emulation project for the second one, but I shouldn't have to do that

I do think they finished the fan translation of P2EP PSP. But yeah, it shouldn't be necessary.
Either it's a huge oversight or a bizarre sense of humor on Atlus' part.

Looking it up Persona and Persona 2 Innocent sin only came to the UK (Where I am) for the PSP and Eternal Punishment never made it's way over so there is no legal way to play it unless I import a US PS2 and the game. Then again I don't have a PSP so that counts those out. I keep seeing a youtube video about a fan Persona 3 FES/Portable remaster but I haven't bothered looking into it due that Atlus rereleasing 3 Portable on everything, and I would rather support the official release. (Even if I will probably wait for sale to grab it and 4) I do have the Shin Magami Tensei III remaster and have yet to play it. The talk of the difficulty has kinda made me hesitant, and the fact IV is digital only in the UK (Apocalypse has a cartage) and I don't remember my password for my 3DS account/the store is closing soon anyway. Has kinda put me off trying the series. Thanks for the suggestion of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. I will look into it

It's from Dancing in Starlight, a spinoff rhythm game. How many spin-offs are there? Only ones related to 5 are that, Strikers, and Q2. And I guess if you feel like counting it the Catherine: Full Body DLC.

So I just got to looking up the DLC accessories available in Royal and for anyone looking for a super easy runthrough of the ports the Camera Strap that comes with the Q2 skins is nuts. Heals 5% of your max HP and 10 SP every turn; pretty quickly useless but in the early game that'd make Kamoshida's Palace an utter pushover.
