I also appreciated how he just redid that Randy Orton/Eddie Guerrero line but just used Brian Pillman instead. That was really tasteful. Well, like, there's kind of a difference between saying something like that within a year, and saying it two decades later, with the family's obvious cooperation, with the intent of putting over his son. The argument could be made that something like that should never be brought up at all, and okay, I can respect that. But I would also submit that this is literally the only reason the crowd cares about Pillman Jr., and if he's okay with his father's name being brought up for heat in a wrestling plotline, who am I to say he shouldn't be?

Yeah, the comparison to "Eddie's down there" doesn't really stick because it's absent the context of time. If Orton did that promo today against a hypothetical Guerrero son he was feuding with, it'd be fine if the Guerrero family gave their blessing. When he did it originally, it was only a couple of months after Eddie's death when that loss was really fresh in everyone's minds and hearts.

I’m not saying it as an argument, more so genuine curiosity — did anyone connected to that Eddie line say they were not okay with it?

I really hope Charlotte does something on the upcoming Raw to warrant a "Charlotte has MJF syndrome" thread.

Nah. MJF is deliberately pompous and loud in his delivery. But he’s at least consistent with it, and it fits his character.
Charlotte goes from being boring and no tone, to randomly shouting for no reason, and weirdly emphasizes certain words. And it makes her promos very hard to listen to sometimes.

I really hope Charlotte does something on the upcoming Raw to warrant a "Charlotte has MJF syndrome" thread. At least it'd mean she'd become a decent actress and learning how to deliver her lines with some sort of conviction. As opposed to RANDOMLY SAYING loud WORDS at times for no REAL reason.

Until he's on his 56th title reign after losing the belt as a transitional champion back to himself, I respectfully disagree.

Low key, Charlotte and Sasha have both always been terrible talkers. It's the main reason they've both been hot and cold in comparison to Becky and Bayley.

I like MJF a lot, but him calling things "mid" doesn't do much for me. I'm kind of middling on it myself.

And Bayley took ages for it to finally click on the mic for her, so for a long time, the only one who was really anything above average on the mic was Lynch, who probably had the least mic time of the four until her big push in 2018.
