That is a super classy thing to do.
As people on the outside looking in, we like to imagine that everyone thinks or acts like we want them too, or like we do.
It's always nice to see a little glimpse in to how people actually feel, from their own mouths, and it not just be spewing bile or towing lines.
That felt honest. Good for him.

I love him so much. He's such a great guy. Punk has legitimate grievances with WWE and a platform to air them but I always felt a lot of fans were putting words in Bryan's mouth about WWE. "I wish more people could see you like I see you" about Vince is interesting considering what we know about Vince. I wish he'd elaborate on that.

Bryan never really struck me as a shooty-tooty guy who goes scorched earth, so him penning this tribute to his time in the WWE fits him perfectly.

In a business full of Ric Flairs, be a Bryan Danielson.

Great article by Bryan. It is interesting to see his thoughts and to see that side of him. I imagine he will return down the line but for now that is a great way to end his WWE story. He's a major Vince fan. According to reports Bryan had a hard decision whether to leave for AEW because he really loves WWE and Vince that much. He also has a notebook with everything Vince has ever told him so yeah, while a ton of people and fans hate Vince, Bryan loves him.

B-But but but he's supposed to hate WWE because he works somewhere else!!!
Seriously though, Bryan is a great dude.

Can’t wait to get a few minutes to read this. DBry leaving didn’t shock me at all, not because I thought there were any simmering issues at all, but because the man is such a professional wrestler at heart and has climbed every single mountain in the WWE. He needs a new challenge.
He’s 100% going to headline a Hall of Fame class down the line, and it will be a joyous celebration of a night.

He’s a really good dude. With all these horror stories coming out, it’s refreshing to see a guy like Bryan, who is not only one of the best at his craft but an all around humble guy outside the ring.

It's easy to forget that every decision comes down to 1 person. Everyone else is doing the job they're told and the company you're employed for doesnt speak to who you are as a person. There's probably more great people employed under Vince in all capacities, but his shadow makes you forget.

Like even Moxley said that he wants WWE to be good so wrestling can be healthy. Plus it helps that alot of these guys are friends from their times in the Indies.

I’ll know there’s no good guys in wrestling when I learn Bryan Danielson runs an underground bear fighting in the basement of his house.

That was a great read. Happy for Bryan that he feels great about his time there and also gets to do something new with AEW. We (often justifiably) rag on Vince and WWE a lot and there are so many horror stories but I know there are plenty of people happy to be there and who look back on it fondly.

That's really dope of him
You don't have to be cold and bitter to leave someplace and want to thrive elsewhere. He left on good terms and it was a hard decision but one he knew he wanted to make before his career is up but he def will be back at some point
Amongst all the Vince craziness it is still nice to hear that the old man has/had soldiers that would still go to bat for him. You can tell they have a good relationship. Hell, good guy Titus got suspended because he caught Vince lacking in a vulnerable moment when D-Bry had to retire. A lot of respect both ways and hopefully can get more of that

And people forget that Mox even said he holds no ill will towards WWE, just certain creative decisions made for him, especially when it came to his heel turn. It's just that people tend to just generalize his remarks as being "f*** WWE" when it's much more than just that.
