Angry fanboys (and some fan girls too, I’d imagine) getting worked up over nothing again. Plus the MLB playoff race is heating up, tonight at ten.

I’m actually curious to see if Disney tried producing Roger Rabbit content for Disney+. My understanding has been that they would not touch it for decades because of all the legal headaches they’d have to go through because of the movie containing so many different properties belonging to so many different studios. But Disney today is a much different beast, and I could realistically see them doing it not just for the sake of more content, but also to test the water on how far they can push in their monopolistic acquisitions. I’m sure it has nothing to do with that all. I’m pretty sure they need Spielberg’s ok to do anything new with the property and he wasn’t happy at all about the story they originally worked on for Roger Rabbit 2. Also not happy with the distribution of the 3rd short

She's wearing a coat. Being a detective fits perfectly with her character, who was much smarter than she initially seemed to be. It's also perfectly in sync with the noir theme of the film. Hell the basic plot of the film is similar to LA Confidential. I mean that was pretty much entirely the point of her character that she looked like the standard Noir Femme Fatal... and then the reversal that she was actually a fully loving and devoted wife to Roger. But she'll play patty cake with any Tom, Dick, or Harry that comes along. Don't let her fool you!

Dan Backslide maybe...

She's a PI, so she wears a trenchcoat. I don't see the problem here. The thing is, even the trenchcoat is "fitted", shall we say. Still the same figure underneath. If they were going to go all the way with it, they would have done what so many artists online do with fictional female characters with sex appeal and attempt to make them more "realistic" which in 99.9% of cases simply means "make them a bit fatter" I think the trenchcoat looks fine and the people annoyed by it are the usual "Beard + Outrage = Personality" lot.

Its okay. People can still look at drawings of her on the internet where she is naked and has a penis. Ummm, I totally haven't done that.

Love the movie but its good that they are doing this, she was way to sexualised for a family film, almost to the point the designers of her are a bit creepy. I dunno how much of a family film I'd call it. It's pretty dark at times. Maroon getting strangled by his tie shocked me when I rewatched it I think Jessica being overly sexualized is the whole point of her character, she even laments the way she's drawn. That said this new look is exactly the same... But with a coat.
