They were pushing both Beth and Nattie as Anti-Divas. "Pushing" is a bit of an overstatement. Many good examples from this thread, but Vince rehiring Sable for the sole purpose of making her make out with him on-screen was pretty special for hitting the utterly awful sweet spot both in and out of kayfabe.

You've got a lot of choice material, especially in the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era. But I don't think anything ever made me feel outright uncomfortable like Vince making Trish Stratus strip and bark like a dog. At least that one was intentional, to turn Trish face. Like, it sure as hell wasn't their only option to do it, and the fans in attendance didn't exactly pick up on "maybe cheering isn't the appropriate reaction", but it's just... WWE picked the most uncomfortable path forward there, and they deserve every bit of condemnation for it.

There have been plenty of sexist moments in wrestling history, but that's the only one that made me feel like I had been an accessory to sexual harassment.

Lita. Just every single thing they put Lita through in 2005 and 2006.

The diva search. Just the diva search. All of it. Although diss the diva was a particular low.
There's some ways of justifying the attitude era stuff but this was way after that point and had very little entertainment value.

Not sure if any of these qualify, but:
The Piggy James angle. Santina winning the WM 25 Miss Wrestlemania battle royale. (also, a Kid Rock concert replacing their entries) The first women's Money in the Bank ending with Carmella winning by Ellsworth's proxy. The Rock singing to Vickie Guerrero.

I've heard before that Vince didn't like a lot of the Attitude Era and was just following trends. The Diva Search feels like the most potent argument against that, because that trashbag shit started in 2003 and Diss the Diva was 2004. 2004. Look at what the prime time TV hits of 2004 were. There's no way. There's no f***ing way.

The crowd chanting "You suck Uso/You suck Bryan/You suck Cena" during a match with the Bellas and Niaomi.
Absolutely f***ing gross. Made me embarrassed to be a wrestling fan

Someone mentioned Mickie...there's its cousin, the Fat Molly/Virgin Molly nonsense. Not sure if it counts, but another anti-PSW bit could be Bertha Faye being protrayed as a villain and needing to look like Roseanne because Rhonda Singh was a PSW. I'm sure we can name a lot of promo and commentary moments where people talked about heel women cruelly.

This thread is depressing.
The actual worst in its own right was Lita from 2005-2006 but I was used to it by then. I was in my early teens when the Trish barking dog incident happened and she was my favourite. I will never forget how that segment and the crowd's reactions to it made me feel.

It helped make him a legendary heel, but some of the things Randy Savage said about/did with Elizabeth from 1985-1987 don't age well. Moreso given what we know now.

Jerry Lawler's commentary in the 90's and 2000's was always ugh to me... but it's virtually unbearable now.

I don't know if it was misogynist but the crap they put Molly Holly through was disgusting. By all accounts you have one of the nicest people in wrestling and you make fun of her because she was a virgin. You make fun of her underwear because she wasn't wearing a thong and King couldn't act like a horny middle-schooler. You make fun of her body (and I thought she had/has a great body and was/is beautiful) because if wasn't the type whoever was in charge thought was attractive.

You got a great wrestler who happens to be a woman, but the entire focus is on how she doesn't have a Barbie doll body or dress to ingratiate herself to men who see women's entire role in the business as free t&a.
