Wish the ALF cartoon was out on DVD. Few years back went and rewatched all of ALF,including that TV movie that was made to wrap things up. But I haven't seen either of the cartoons since they left NBC Saturday Mornings.

Yea I thought some had come out. Tempted to get in touch with this one grey market dealer I know and see if he has the full run of both. Bad thing is last time I talked to him he was wanting 8 bucks a disc plus shipping. So that means I'm looking at close to 50 bucks for both shows...

A series that could have been bigger had the creator gave a crap about his co-workers (and hired a child actor with actual talent) but instead was the story of a puppeteer drunk with power and chasing fame.

I remember this show. As an adult, I can tell that NBC did not care for this show when they moved it to Saturday night death slot as well as ending the series on BBC a cliffhanger when as the storylines was that Alf was going to be captured and tortured.
The cliffhanger was resolved SEVEN years later during the movie Project Alf that depicted Alf still his old irreverent self with all the other characters pushed under a bus. The movie aired on ABC and not NBC.

I rather have a physical copy. If I'm gonna get digital copies I can get those all over, and free. But thanks for the info.

A series that seems to me was more popular here in Germany than it was in the US: the VA who dubbed ALF in the German dub basically made a career out of him being the voice of ALF and I was surprised to hear that Project: ALF was a TV movie originally since it actually got a theatrical release here in Germany.

I'm honestly shocked they haven't tried to bring this back. Then, I looked at Wikipedia and saw there was talk of one in 2018. Has every popular old show at the very least had some kind rumor of a reboot at some point?

Its much funnier if you pretend that the actual puppet is the one who is drunk. Alfoholic could be a great mockumentary about Alf's struggle with fame and stardom.

"My name is Gordon Shumway"
"Whatever, ALF"
Tanners were dicks. Also, when they lost their f***ing minds on him because he didn't know what Christmas was.

Also, I don't think its a coincidence that ALF and Highlander came out the same year.

Yeah, I remember like every actor coming out later and basically saying that filming ALF was the worst experience of their lives... and multiple people getting injured becasue of the way the tracks for the ALF puppet were laid out. I'm honestly shocked they haven't tried to bring this back. Then, I looked at Wikipedia and saw there was talk of one in 2018. Has every popular old show at the very least had some kind rumor of a reboot at some point? ALF has come back in some form or another a few times... usually on commercials I think the big hang up is again the creator he's allegedly a massive pain to work with.
