{Spoiler}{Spoiler}"Credits can buy muscle, if you know where to look." *Mando's flute theme plays*Me: ![](https://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/images/Andy-Dwyer-amazed.gif) I'm super hyped for the last few eps now. Also, really solid episode. You give Ming-Na Wen something to do and she always delivers. When I heard that little piece, I was like, "OH IT'S F***ING ON NOW!!!!"

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}No f***ing around this week, giving us Mando from the get go.
Johnny Favs and the Armorer, too. Nice.

{Spoiler}Kinda sums up the show that the best episode to date is literally just an episode of Mando.
Always loved the Naboo Starfighter, though.
Also, if Mando's going to visit Grogu – presumably in season 3 – then we might get more Luke. Hype building!

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Well, this was fascinating.
Because, in a vacuum, it was the best episode of The Book of Boba Fett so far. Lore-building, pacy, lots of action and good humour, and fun fanservice nods. The deadpan "Wizard" gave me a bigger laugh than anything this show's done up to now.
But of course, it had virtually nothing to do with The Book of Boba Fett. It's like saying "Finally, we have a stone-cold classic for the Thirteenth Doctor!", and it's the one she isn't in, starring the Tenth Doctor where he battles the Daleks, and right at the end Dan wanders in and gives him a thumbs-up.
So my concern is on two counts. It shows a lack of nerve on the producers to bring in a big guest star already, moreover, in an entire episode dedicated to them.
And also shows up Boba in a bad light. Turns out we've already got a great Boba Fett show, where he goes to cooler places and does more interesting things and he's both a badass and deeper character. It's The Mandarlorian instead.
Boba can play crime boss in his dust bowl if he likes, when we can watch THAT show again?

{Spoiler} Excellent episode……but this season is only 7 episodes long, and I can’t help but feel of this most of this story could’ve save for Mando 3. Gives some crumbs to make things fit into Bobs Fett’s story but save the deep dive for The Mandalorian S03.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Agreeing with everyone else that this is the best episode so far and it doesn't even have Boba Fett.
Amy Sedaris is just a treasure in everything. She used to date a Jawa, they're very hairy.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Disappointed that they got rid of the Beskar spear. A spear is a versatile weapon and you dont see it used enough in fiction. Because swords are cooler I guess. And replacing it with a lightsaber when he is not even a Jedi. Do not care for it.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}That was an excellent start to The Mandalorian Season 3.
I really enjoyed the worldbuilding in this episode. Mando having to remove all of his weapons to use a public transport amused me greatly. I loved all of the little prequels references too, from the ship to the podracing track. And "wizard."
Mando's little creed/cult of Mandalorians are somehow both badass and very boring to me. They don't talk like humans and I'm glad he didn't spend much time with the Armorer and Viszla. Less is more with those guys, IMHO.
My heart nearly broke at how much Din misses the baby. I hope they get reunited soon so Grogu can get his gift. Also, one of the X-Wing pilots was the guy who played Luke in Mando S2, so I wonder if that was just a cameo or something he filmed while he was also doing more stand-in work for young Luke.

I had one big nerd rage moment:
"Beskar is never used for weapons, it's bad. It's against our religion" Ok "Oh btw, those wacky whistling bird wrist missiles I made for you are made from beskar"
SO WHICH IS IT LADY ARMORER!? Ya'll don't even follow your own damn rules.

Are the actual missiles made from Beskar or just the housing? If it is just the housing then that could be considered part of the armor and the missiles would not be able to penetrate Beskar armor. It seems the main reason not to make Beskar weapons is that would imply that you intend too kill someone in Beskar, aka another Mandalorian. A Beskar housing that fires non Beskar weapons would not be a danger.
