I think Drew being on the All In card would sell the rest of the remaining tickets tbh

But aren't those slots Ospreay, Okada, Jay White, Edge etc. were all signed to fill? And Copeland is in his 50s and more prone to injury at his age, Okada and Ospreay have a lot of mileage on them. The point is even the people they hired to fill those rolls could get injured. Not like anyone could foresee Cole getting a freak injury or the fact MJF had been so beat up he needed a lot of time, plus the fact Omega having a different freak injury. The point is, having more depth means having coverage for that eventuality. Yeah, there are certain talents AEW would be fine letting go and not trying to sign because their roster is stacked. But Drew is an exception because he’s operating at a different level now character wise. He’d be a huge addition if they ran with the same character.

Even if you think Drew won’t help the ratings at all (and I think he may), it would be absurd not to try to get one of the hottest acts in all of wrestling. This is especially true when you’re about to negotiate the incredibly important tv deal and he can be an added important piece for your perception.

If Drew really does want to move back to Scotland, I think it’s pretty much a wrap that he’s signing with AEW.

MCMG getting paid big bucks at the end of their careers is poetry. Those two defined a lot of the current Gen of wrestlers.
AND MCMG figures gonna go hard. It's only been 20 years

It's only been 20 years So happy for them; Shelley's been a near the top favorite of mine for twenty danged years at this point, he and Sabin just click on another level. Would love to see the tag title match at Dynasty end with the Bucks getting help from Perry to win, only for the Guns to appear like ghosts from their past come to punish them for their asshole-ery.

I believe the Guns are booked in London on Sunday. But maybe the Dynamite after they can do similar

There are people I like or have liked, like Ziggler or Sheamus (and believe me, there are a dozen matches in AEW I'd love to see Sheamus have), where I agree they aren't going to move the needle at this stage in their careers, and are not the kind of talent AEW should be signing now.
But Drew has proven that he can reinvent himself several times now (his TNA run, the face version of himself right before/during pandemic where he got himself back over despite WWE booking him pretty terribly again, and the ridiculous peak he's on now) and he's someone you should want out there promoting for you - a huge guy who looks like a wrestler, give good interviews, has a great presence. Honestly, I think the only person WWE has whiffed on worse than Drew by not sending them out there to be a promotion machine for them while champ was Big E. Drew won't get you back over 1M viewers alone, but he can definitely do a lot for you and can potentially get the kind of hot program you need to get that momentum going as long as you know what you want to do with him before you sign him and let him do his thing after.

Good thing Punk is gone. All hell might’ve broke loose if he thought they were bringing in real machine guns.

It's not even that they don't have many teams, but it's that so many of them (Private Party, Butcher/Blade, Gates of Agony, Righteous, Silver/Reynolds, even the Kingdom) currently sit low on the card. Nobody has really been brought up to the level of FTR or the EVPs.
