I expect WWE to go hard after Penta and Fenix. And there is likely to be alot of push and pull with them from both sides...Andrade probably telling them about his experience and how it probably wont go to well for them then guys like Santos Escobar and Rey pullin them the other way. Can't see it. Vince hates anyone who can't talk perfect English. I'd say MJF, Wardlow, Hangman and obviously Omega would be key targets. And Jericho, just to take him away. Outside of that...I dont see anyone WWE would want for their style/presentation unless it's lower level blank slates they can re-jig and who will be swayed by money. Of the names above, I dont think they'll have much of a chance of swaying them away, but you never know. Money talks, and WWE is still the name value brand even if it's just for the CV.

Question would be, who would be better served by leaving rather than staying?
I’ll say this much, there’s a non zero number of folks who would be better off elsewhere.

Maybe I'm just not look at this the right way, but here's my question:
The way WWE has been releasing talent that are still under contract, why would you want to go to WWE? AEW's steady money, they let you work independents obviously, and I've yet to hear a serious complaint about them save for that one guy from dark who's such a non-factor from Dark that I don't even remember his name.
Yeah, I'm sure WWE would try to poach MJF, Wardlow, etc., but you'd have to be insane to go there at this point given that they've shown they're running on autopilot creatively and are doing a hatchet job financially.

Makes sense they'd all be first. I expect the next batch to renew or part with would've the ones who showed up at the rally. PAC, Baker, Lucha Bros, Sonny, Sabian, Guevara, all signed on pretty early.

Those extensions ensure Tony will know what his next TV deal pays by the time their contracts expire which is going to be helpful for figuring out the economics of the situation. Barring a collapse in rights fees across the board, AEW is due for a big increase and he should be able to afford their contracts quite easily, even with additional raises.

Given the previous deal was on the basis of drawing half of their ratings on a bad night, I think those fees are only going up.

PAC, Baker, Lucha Bros, Sonny, Sabian, Guevara, all signed on pretty early. Britt and Sammy are guaranteed to stay, gotta assume PAC and Lucha Bros are locks too barring some major travel-related issues (like what led to Bea Priestley and CIMA leaving). Sonny and Kip are wildcards. I hope both stay (Sonny much more so if we're being honest) but I could see them leaving if they felt they'd do better elsewhere.

If anyone leaves because of money, I hope they're asking for a significant guarantee up front.
Easy to promise the world when you can always just decide "nah" and let them go.

I hope Kip stays, the box gimmick he's been doing is intriguing. And he's one guy who's had a run of bad luck, from his tag team with Havoc getting deep sixed when everything came out about Havoc, and the injury he's currently out with.

He still promotes AEW things on his twitter. He hasnt had his return match yet, anywhere, since his injury. If he doesnt return, its certainly not his choice.

That's the ONLY talent you think theyd be interested in? So when they offered Hobbs, Eddie Kingston and Ricky Starks contracts right after their first TV matches, those were anomalies?

I dunno if I'd say they are not gonna be renewed but I could see guys like TH2, Butcher/Blade/Bunny, Kip, Penelope, Sonny, Janela and a few others be changed to per appearance deals.
More of a see you later than a good bye

Britt has already renewed, hasn't she? She talked about it on air and I think it was a legit extension. I imagine PAC would extend, because I can't see many other high profile promotions being wiling to support him still living in the UK while remaining a regular and feature player.
I can see some people changing to short term/per appearance deals and working more on the indies. You have to imagine that there are lots of lower card talents that can now command higher fees on the indies due to their association with AEW, even if they've only mainly been on Dark (Elevation)
But if anyone does fully leave AEW after their contract expires, then there's nothing wrong with that. Whether it's AEW or the wrestler that chooses to end the association, that's the way contracts should work. It's totally different to firing people mid-contract.
