Like all of these sound like fun matches, so I'm firmly in camp: "whoever wins, I wanna see you wrestle Omega or Page, especially Page, have fun, kids."

Pretty sure the Yuta/Moxley match existed only to plant the seeds for a future OC/Moxley match. Also, if we are going to try and heel up Mox for a match against Hangman, then him beating the tar out of OC might help with that. No doubt planting the seeds. We get Mox vs OC in the semis, with Mox winning in a heelish way. He obviously gets way more vicious in the match than what is called for, and maybe wins via cheating. That protects OC, sets up a Mox vs OC feud down the line, and gets fans against Mox. The finals see Mox cheat to beat Bryan.

So many interesting matchups with stakes. Dustin vs Bryan and the possibility of Mox vs OC fill me with glee.

I'm kinda thinking Bryan doesn't take this. With Hangman set to win the title, Bryan might not be the right choice for his first opponent. Moxley might be the better match to solidify Page's run. I hope Mox wins it. He's getting increasingly unhinged and heelish as each week progresses and I can buy a Mox in that mind frame beating Bryan. He's taken a few random shots at Hangman in promos too.

My primary stances are 1), the word 'eliminator' just hits my ears in a way that annoys me, and 2), the hell did 10 and Dustin do to deserve being in this?
Though really in regards to a winner I'm kind of fine with anything that doesn't lead to Moxley and Omega ever crossing paths again. Do kind of feel like sooner or later you need to stop putting OC in a position to be cannon fodder in stuff like this though.

Me: What the hell has 10 done to be in this? 10, deep in the AEW Dark/Elevation trenches, grinding out his wins every week: you don't know the god damn half of it 10 and TK have a key mutual friend

They already teased Mox vs OC last night on Dynamite. Wouldn't be surprised if their semi final will have the most stakes

He's AEW's Stone Cold at this point.

Looking forward to most, if not all, of these matches, that being said, I find it weird that Miro, Malakai, Cody, Cole, Idolo, PAC, Christian Cage, etc. etc. are not in this.
I'd have preferred if they started off at 16 contestants and whittled it down (even if they chose to have the chosen eight as the final participants) as in my opinion, there are huge names that should "in kayfabe" be gunning for such an opportunity

It's the first time Mox got booed when he hit him with the chair in the ladder match. I think Mox got booed based off of everyone's burning desire to see Hangman win that match that specific night. He was red hot because he was a surprise return. I know the return is not the only reason for his reaction, but I believe it is a factor to consider vis-à-vis Mox's reaction to hitting him. If we are talking about a feud, I don't know - I have a hard time believing this current iteration of Moxley gets booed. I have no doubt that the performer is able to play his character marvellously one way or another, however. I could see Moxley as a heel, just not THIS Mox, you know what I mean?

He's AEW's Stone Cold at this point. If Mox turns on Eddie Kingston that could probably fans to boo him. And then you can do another short feud after the title match with Mox/Kingston except with Eddie as the face this time.

Anyone think that Bryan beats Mox in a hypothetical final between the two of them? A Mox win might telegraph Hangman/Kenny's result a bit too much, seeing as the likelihood of ANOTHER Mox/Kenny match is so slim.
Whereas if Bryan wins, AEW has us all thinking 'oh shoot, they may be going for Kenny/Bryan 2 for the title and Hangman ISN'T going to win'. It would be the most they could do to sow doubt on a Hangman victory, cause everyone and their mother are expecting Hangman to take this. Mox/Hangman seems like it should be a longer feud than just a few weeks past Full Gear. You can have Hangman hand Danielson his first AEW singles loss too as his very first title defense; it would really put Hangman over huge.
