Just realized that it could also be Johnny Gargano. Like everyone thought he was a foregone conclusion at the Cleveland Dynamite a couple of weeks ago. He and his wife are expecting their first child

It won't be this guy because he is already signed and has been training for the last 3 months but I wonder how long they will wait before they debut Satnam Singh.

Is it possible that the part about signing an AEW contract could be a work? Like if Will Osprey or Jay White show up and sign a contract and it starts a big angle between between AEW an New Japan? I don't know just throwing some ideas around. I legitimately have zero idea who it could be that fits everything.

I don't think it's him, but William Regal did just start a PWTees shop.

My guess is Keith Lee but man I would mark out hard for Samoa Joe.

Keith Lee or Samoa Joe would be best but I get a feeling it'll end up being Jeff. Lee and Joe have that big bulky build that would be perfect for an uppercard/main event scene right now. Just 2 dudes who can work well and can be big deals if needed to early.
It would be cool if there were 2 debuts. We'd have one early on and then at the end of the show another shows up.

I would guess Joe if this wasn't leading to a ladder match at the PPV. For one, with his age and milage, he probably doesn't need to be doing huge multi man stip matches like that. And Joe is also a legit huge name that could do some business for you. If I bring him in, he immediately gets paired for a PPV match with Punk or Mox or someone like that.

I think Joe automatically comes in against a Punk or aligned with Bryan and his group of ass kicking sadists. Like I could easily see Mox rejecting Bryan's offer and Joe choking him out. Keith Lee and Swerve are the only non-Jeff Hardy wrestlers I could realistically see. Hardy just makes the most sense to be in a Ladder match and to go against an AHFO member since the story is quickly building to Andrade ousting Matt and taking full control over AFO. Plus it'll give Private Party their dream match.

Long term wise? Absolutely. Keith Lee is superduperstar and is ripe with oppertunity. Out of the gate? Jeff Hardy is already a bigger star and would draw more eyes to the product. They're both AEW bound imo, but I think Lee also finds himself in that ladder match. That or he's the big debut post Revolution. Sure, Jeff Hardy is a bigger star but he’s past his prime and I’m not sure he’ll move the needle much at this stage. And content-wise, Lee is a much more impactful signing. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan have, at best, nudged the needle. So Jeff won't, but neither will any one single wrestler. The Rock as a full-timer wouldn't convince a significant number of people they want to watch a weekly wrestling show in 2022. Given what we know, no-one makes as much sense of Jeff. With the Forbidden Door being the idea that anyone released by WWE can show up almost immediately.

Any chance Finn’s contract quietly expired and no one realized? He could be a big name get that would also fit into the ladder match/TNT title picture.

I think we're getting both Keith Lee and Killer Kross tonight in different segments IMO. I think Mia posting about being on their honeymoon might have been some sort of misdirect.

Just fantasy booking with Balor/Devitt since it was thrown out there...
What if Tony Khan just gave zero effs & put the money aside to buy out his contract plus a premium/penalty and the real rocknrolla walked out on Dynamite?
I'm sure there's more legal implications than the money, but that would be mind blowing.

I'm sure there's more legal implications than the money, but that would be mind blowing. WWE would file for immediate injunctive relief (and likely be granted it) which would stop him from appearing again until it was resolved. Then there’s the money they’d sue for on top of that.
