The thing is MJF being embarrassed by Punk works going forward too, it gives him justifiable reason (in his head at least) to take things to the next level. I'll be interested to see if they try to drag this out to the next PPV but at this rate they will have to have a match before then. Rubber match at the PPV Sponsored by Durex

Could get Wardlow and Spears involved to try and stretch things out. Actually had a thought today that MJF could respond to Punk’s criticism about “having the Pinnacle” right back at Punk, if they’re willing to go there about “close ties” and “relationships” w/ friends & what-not...

I thought it kinda dragged on too long if I'm being honest

I thought it kinda dragged on too long if I'm being honest I watched if tonight and I’m kinda on the same lines. I did enjoy it but it just dragged a bit for me 20 mins is just a tad long. 15 at most As for the content itself, MJF got smoked He was entertaining enough though for me he does come across a tad forced now and again. I mean the way punk delivered that Miz line was brutal

Yes, Max got clowned on in the promo battle, but he kinda got a win because Punk had a bit of a struggle in putting QT Marshall away in the match afterwards.

MJF should start their eventual match by doing Punk's iconic UFC crab walk

Finally getting around to watching Dynamite on my DVR and holy holy holy hell.
That was everything I wanted out of those two - though I was a little surprised Punk didn’t circle back on MJF calling out the straight edge thing by circling back with something like “oh yeah…I AM straight edge. And that mean I AM better than YOU” with the mic drop and X across his chest or something like that anyway.
Also I can’t help but think Maffew was drooling when Punk gave him a new clip for the show 😂

That was great. Punk definitely showed he’s on a different level than MJF on the mic, though. Punk is so much more authentic, while MJF is a bit cartoony.

That was everything I wanted out of those two - though I was a little surprised Punk didn’t circle back on Darby calling out the straight edge thing by circling back with something like “oh yeah…I AM straight edge. Also I can’t help but think Maffew was drooling when Punk gave him a new clip for the show 😂 We've had Excalibur and Taz reference Insipid Taz Commentary during Dark, and now Punk dropping a crystal clear "You talk too much". If Becky ever jumps ship, someone's going to find an excuse to shout "Send for The Man".

Eh, I thought it sucked.
I’m kind of sick of the whole “you’re an inoffensive spokesman for our company, and that’s bad and you’re a sellout because REBELS ARE SUPERIOR!” stuff that’s meant to get heat.
Shouldn’t becoming the #1 star and a long reigning champion, or serving as a good representative for a promotion and moving a ton of merchandise be, you know, celebrated?
I know that’s probably not very “punk rock”, but MJF’s and Punk’s characters both clearly want to be #1 on the Billboard charts.

MJF was brilliant, but it was one of those promos that skewed a little too true.
Kinda hard to come back against the truth

The entire point was that MJF is full of shit and trying to needle Punk with whatever he can cobble together, and Punk is the good guy who we should want to see happy and successful. It just so happens that Punk is also still fully capable of ethering those who try to step to him, so that's what they did.

Loved this segment a ton.
I do think it creates an interesting parallel though. Kingston actually held his own better/beat punk in their war of words a mere few weeks ago.

Punk's delivery was better but I didn't think his insults were THAT superior. I think every promo battle against MJF has brought up Rosie O Donnell and "Maxwell? I thought MJF stood for My _____"

As much as MJF feels a little too fake sometimes (but still annoying, partially because of that), it still _kind of_ works because Punk was always the "King of the Asssholes", the guy who can be the biggest asshole in the universe because he has more charisma than almost anyone.
