My favorite version of this sing. Sarah McLachlan's voice is angelic.

Back to remind you that Ana Gasteyer's Sugar and Booze album is delightful. And it is fresh in my mind yet again because I saw her show last night.
In the meantime, another pleasant surprise: A Marianne Faithfull holiday recording:

It's never Christmas for me until I hear this.
Also, check this out. I never thought that rap versions of traditional Christmas songs would actually work. I bought the CD two years ago and this whole album is intriguing.

I gotta come in off topic more often, I'm just seeing this thread. I'll start checking stuff out after work but when it comes to Christmas music there's none greater than good old Bing Crosby.
Also, every version of last Christmas can die in a fire.

When I hear Mannheim Steamroller, I reflexively think, "Coming up, a look at your local radar, but first...the current local conditions..."

Also, every version of last Christmas can die in a fire. See, it IS repetitive. I feel bad about saying so, however, given that George Michael passed away, and the ironic circumstance therein. I'll take it out on Taylor Swift's version instead.

Besides music, I tried an NPR CD called "Tinsel Tales". I also will check out a Dylan Thomas poetry CD that includes A Child's Christmas in Wales and other seasonal poems.
