There goes me being able to watch the Royal Rumble. It was about the only WWE thing I bothered to watch anymore and that was only on dvd. I’m not giving them any money for a PPV or network. If you’d pay 20 bucks for the DVD then why not 5 bucks for Peacock?

If you’d pay 20 bucks for the DVD then why not 5 bucks for Peacock? It is 5 dollars with ads, 10 dollars ad free. Physical media is a time capsule. More likely the content will still be untouched 5-10 years afterwards, assuming the DVD isn't scratched up. Some outside forces is going to have an issue with a Royal Rumble event, and the same video on the streaming services would be altered. Also, knowing that WWE likes to tamper with history to fit a narrative, it would most likely them changing the content rather than Peacock or a sponsor strong arming them. I just wished WWE still made Blu-Rays, as the discs have higher video and audio quality than what you typically find on your streaming services. While I can't speak for Peacock, as I refuse to buy in their service, Netflix has been very disappointing in that regard. Most 4k content looks worse than DVDs, with some providing a bitrate of a mere 6mbps.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was just an old listing and it gets canceled soon, tbh. But if not, it'd be ironic if "Day 1" was the last DVD.

Could always record onto a DVD if an untouched physical copy is valued that much.

If you’d pay 20 bucks for the DVD then why not 5 bucks for Peacock? Because I’m not going to buy a subscription just for one show. I care about the Rumble enough to buy it on dvd whenever I happen to come across it at Walmart or Amazon. I don’t care enough about the Rumble or this company to invest in their internet services. Physical copies are also preferred.

So, we still have hope that the UK will continue with the releases at least for now. If you aren't into buying it from them directly, they also sell them on Amazon US as well once released. Fingers are crossed for more past the Rumble!

I remember a few years ago, I had considered selling my wrestling DVD collection when the Network had launched. I'm so happy I kept them all. To date, I have 157 DVD/blurays and have slowly been going through eBay to buy a few of the ones I had missed over the last few years.

Well I have Day 1 in my hands now, so there is a stay of execution. Royal Rumble 22 also scheduled for US release soon.

I remember the days of going to the local video store and renting WWF Coliseum VHS tapes. With mainly just Superstars and Prime Time Wrestling on at the time, it was a good way to see some matches I had never seen before.

Elimination Chamber isn't on Amazon as of now, so we'll see.

Glad i still have my copy of Smack'em Whack'em...I was an absolutely huge Hitman fan and this vhs had a HBK/Bret ladder match and his first world title win over Flair...as a kid it was my grail...Plus it had insight into how much his rival Yokozuna ate haha
