I had that Roger Clemens game on SNES. I’d play against my aunt. At first, she was t very good and I’d beat her easily. But she got better and started kicking my ass. So I threw a tantrum and refused to play her. Maybe this’ll be the Christmas I start speaking to her again. I wouldn’t. It’s the only way she’ll learn.

Well if there is one positive thing to take away from all of this is that James has the proper opinion that Kona Crush's face theme was an absolute banger.

I assume it's for the 200th, but it kinda feels like he's shutting her down with that ending.

Regardless of hoe you feel about him, 15 years and 200 episodes is nothing to sneeze at and I'll always be impressed by what he's accomplished.

remember when James would post a video and then we'd all be like "haha wow that was a very funny video" and then we'd talk about the game or whatever
yeah me neither

Watched part 3 earlier, wow so for the 200th episode we get what is a clipshow basically.
Sadly it just feels like James wants to end AVGN but keeps it going cause it is the only thing he has that makes money.

Well if there is one positive thing to take away from all of this is that James has the proper opinion that Kona Crush's face theme was an absolute banger. Actually, he gave a much more honest opinion of the SNES WWF games than AVGN typically does for games. They were all really fun games that were pretty high quality for the time and he acknowledged that instead of shitting on them. Even more, he admitted that he played the hell out of Royal Rumble when he was younger (as did I, quite frankly). That means he knew all along that LJN was capable of putting out good games, though I can't help but to wonder who made sure that LJN put in the effort to make a good game. Maybe it was brand loyalty on LJN's part since WWF action figures were a really important part of their business for a long period of time?

I guess I'm in the minority, but Mike annoys the shit out of me. I was fine with him on James and Mike Monday’s, but I’ve tried watching some of his solo streaming videos and he is a very obnoxious person

The game from the video is actually available to play for free.

You know, it's weird how needlessly complex a lot of the LJN games really were. Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Friday the 13th, Back to the Future 2&3, and Bill and Ted were all complicated games that required lots of hours of game time, which wasnt really all that feasible in the days before memory saves (though Roger Rabbit DID have a password system, albiet an incredibly long one). Even games like Zelda and Startropics had a memory backup at least. Couldnt they just make platformers one could just pick up and play?

Different strokes, I guess.
I have subscribed to Mike's Twitch channel for half a year now and I always greatly enjoy his streams and chat.

And for Friday the 13th, James admitted that he liked the game when he and Mike played in on James and Mike Mondays. His biggest problem was the map, but the game was ambitious and was ahead of it's time. And the music kicked ass.

Even non-LJN companies were infamous for that: Good luck trying to remember where all the eggs are.

Cinemassacre unloaded the entire season video today.
I don't know, it just seems like James might either be done or is taking a hiatus since most of the output anymore is either clip countdowns or clips within actual episodes or episodes put together in a single video.
I finally recently watched the 200th episode 3 parter, and it was a massive disappointment. Of all the things to do, focusing on LJN games after he already talked about most of the notorious ones seemed redundant. Honestly, this felt like it came full circle when he played Maximum Carnage...so why circle back? Maybe he went down that road before he realized there wasn't much to talk about, but refused to alter course? Who knows.
All I know is that the best idea I heard from anyone was having the Nerd and Board James finally interact by playing Mario Party or something. There's enough in some of those games to criticize, even if they're mostly good, plus it also transcends both the video game and board game element. I don't know...but I'm surprised if he hadn't thought about it.
Last thing I'll say is that given his audience, he really should consider filming in a studio, I can't imagine he isn't able to afford one. It would make a lot of the problems he discussed in the past much easier to deal with instead of needing to work in a cramped basement where I assume he has specific hours to film based on his family.
Anyways, if this is the end...I have to say it's pretty sad. I just don't think his heart is in it anymore.

The Rental Reviews stuff was all in a studio I’m pretty sure, I thought they re-created the Nerd room there as well for the majority of filming.
