Kid me was so excited for this episode & so disappointed when it aired. They teased PR vs. TMNT & that part where Andross kicked them aside in the ship's hallway was the closest tot a fight we got.

The best episode of TMNT: The Next Mutation or the worst episode of Power Rangers in Space? You decide.

I bet hardcore Power Rangers fans are pissed that Next Mutation is part of the canon of the Power Rangers universe.

I bet hardcore Power Rangers fans are pissed that Next Mutation is part of the canon of the Power Rangers universe. I doubt they care. It was more then twenty years ago and it's not like anything in either the crossover or on Next Mutation itself isn't easily ignorable to the Power Rangers universe at large.

I mean, I'd be concerned that technically, the Power Rangers are a part of the wider Turtles multiverse which means they're somewhat a part of the canon of the last two 90s Turtle movies.

I mean, if you want to get pedantic about it, everything is a part of everything else's multiverse. Through Death's Head you can connect the Marvel Universe, Transformers and Doctor Who, but I've never seen anybody complaining about never seeing Megatron vs. the Daleks.

Then we'll just be going into the Donkey Kong Cinematic Universe which basically somehow links everything to everything and we're not ready as a forum for that discussion.

In the comics, TMNT and Power Ranger are canon to Batman. Beside a crossover between the two, Batman had a crossover with TMNT and Power Ranger had a crossover with the Justice League.

To say nothing of how there's only a single step between Power Rangers and Bayonetta.

And the Amalgam universe basically lead to Dr. Strangefate being a canon thing for a bit in the DC(?) Universe. Shit like that gets weird.

I find it funny when I hear people say "how did I not know about this when it first came out?" This was released when both the Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles were at really low points of popularity. Power Rangers had just barely fallen in popularity, and the turtles weren't quite nostalgic yet.

I think this even came out AFTER Next Mutation was already cancelled...

Could we make this the all-purpose Phelous thread? Kind of liking that set up with the others and his stuff gets posted a lot so seems like a good candidate for it.
