Toni loses, surprise surprise. She probably gets the honor of losing one more time to Charlotte too! Y'know just to make sure you get it
The Gauntlet sounds dire but the right result. Nakamura's reign has been terrible so not even shocked if he loses and he and Boogs go for the tag belts.

Clearly fake spoilers. They don't end with Roman standing tall for the 75th week in a row. Missed last night, did you?

Ideally, the face(s) should win the gimmicky Christmas match, so they got that right, at least. Yeah I only opened this thread to see if they ended the Christmas Eve show on Roman standing tall or something, so the faces winning a gimmicky Christmas match to end the show is a pretty nice surprise.

I'm floored that the results didn't say that as The faces were celebrating with Santa The Bloodline came down and laid everyone out, They circled Santa before beating him up for 15 minutes ending with Roman placing Santa' hat on his crown and proclaiming to now be the King of Christmas. The ending shot would be a pan out of Roman with one foot on santa who is on top of a pile of 4 interchangeable babyfaces complete with 47 camera cuts to an apathetic crowd.
Not that it matters, I'm sure it'll get a 3 mil + viewership.

A Smackdown Spoiler thread!? IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! Also I'm always a sucker for Miracle on 54th Street fights. They are so dumb but so entertaining.

Might watch for the Christmas street fight. One thing to watch for is that while that street fight was taped last, reportedly the Charlotte/Toni match will be the televised main event.

WWE and their obsession with roll ups in women’s matches strikes again.

Something tells me they're gonna run Charlotte vs. Toni one more time before WM. Rollups aren't exactly the cleanest of finishes. They aren't the most decisiv wins but unless the spoilers aren't mentioning Charlotte holding the tights or putting her feet on the ropes it's still a clean win. That would I think take it off the table for Day 1 which surprises me in that I have a tough time seeing them leaving Charlotte off a PPV. Then again two of the other four pillars of the current women's division, Sasha and Bianca, have also seemingly blown off their current feuds on TV as well and don't seem to have anything lined up for the PPV either so who knows.

Does it matter? Even if they do a rematch we know full well Toni ain’t winning.
That’s the problem, WWE REFUSES to commit to truly establishing new stars and just keeps going back to the same old stuff.
We’re getting New Day vs. USO’s AGAIN as well, because we haven’t seen that 100 times before. Roman vs. Brock, AGAIN!!
Becky will beat Liv on Raw and it will be her vs. Bianca AGAIN, etc.
Wake me up when they let a new star actually WIN when it counts.

If Toni loses again (which she will) she is long term damaged goods.
You do not job a fresh new face out 3 gawd damn times especially during a title feud and expect anyone to give a shit so either she wins or just add another to the dunzo list because she will be ripe for the release window.

It also doesn’t matter if you “protect” someone of it doesn’t lead to anything.
Honestly I must just go get drunk at my Cousin’s Christmas Party instead. This show sounds very stoppable.

What are the three times? This Smackdown match that was taped and then I'm guessing you mean a rematch afterwards. What's the third match she lost to Charlotte? They did let her pin Charlotte in a tag match which I didn't think they would do. I agree that them using potential new stars as placeholder feuds before going back to feuds that have been done for Mania is frustrating. We just saw Bianca and Becky countless times and if I really wanted to watch Charlotte against Sasha I would just go on Peacock and watch any PPV or Raw from 2016 in which they wrestled on pretty much all of them in pretty much every match possibility (Hell in a Cell, Falls Count Anywhere, Iron Woman etc.).

I am counting the "win" by Charlotte kicking her ass too much as a loss because it was stupid and IMO damaging and really did nothing for her.

To add to this, we all know that even if Sasha regains the title, she'll falter and lose all of her momentum again. Her last few reigns have kinda sucked real bad, to be honest. And it's not like Bianca will be much better. She is currently bulldozing through every other credible heel in the division on her path back to Becky. So unless Bianca loses the title to the first person she faces (assuming its someone new), then what was the point?

Yeah Toni “winning” because Charlotte was just too badass and kicked her ass just a bit too much.
Oh and remember for like ten minutes they booked Shotzi well. Then she lost to Charlotte and they have bungled her literally every single step of the way since then. They have not done one good thing with Shotzi since that match.

Didn’t Doudrop attack Bianca post-match? I think that means that feud is ongoing. As for Sasha/Shotzi, yeah that feud is done.

I didn't watch and just read a recap and I guess I must have missed that. Still kind of dumb though to run that back when Bianca beat her clean. Like why not save that for the PPV?

Because they cannot pace or structure storylines well either,
The Naomi vs. Sonya story is another hideously incompetent one as well.

My guess is they want the end of the feud to really elevate Bianca and put her over, meaning the blowoff of that feud will be Bianca delivering a KOD onto Doudrop and pinning her.
