Official CDC guidance is still that if you’re fully vaccinated and have no symptoms, you don’t need to quarantine when deemed a close contact.

Which is crazy to me when over here, I had to isolate for 5 days because my flatmate got tested positive even though I consistently tested negative. It was originally 10, mind you, so it could have been worse.

Remember when WWE finessed the system to get their talent listed as “essential” and very actively contributed to the public health crisis in it’s early states more than virtually any other American sports league?? Yeah. Yeah. I don't recall WWE actively contributing to early COVID spread. As for the essential worker thing, yes they made it happen but lets not kid ourselves here. Lots of sports leagues took advantage of that. And so did pro wrestling in general. The biggest contributor to COVID spread right now are unvaccinated idiots and people like Ron DeSantis. Also Florida.

Official CDC guidance is still that if you’re fully vaccinated and have no symptoms, you don’t need to quarantine when deemed a close contact. Still doesn't mean they don't need to eliminate testing entirely. That's just stupidity. We're 2 years into this thing and they're treating it like it's the first month. The way this company works it's as if they they're trying to slide by by the seat of their asses. It's like they work for getting a D- just to pass rather than trying to get as high as a score as they can get.

There's no such thing as "low even for WWE" but actively contributing to the pandemic is a bold move for WWE.
Supervillain tier shit.

This is not the place to discuss this any sort of way and this is nothing again you but ima just say this is the biggest lie being spread and there is more than enough proof out there with all the data and research from places like israel.

There is no 100% accurate test...except maybe a full blown antibody test but idk if WWE is in any position to impliment that on the regular without outsourcing it and who knows how much a company as stringent as they are with financials would cost them. So I could see it from them being like...well if we keep teasting with inaccurate tests and we end up with a false positives (like the nba) they would just be f***ing themselves over by a whole bunch of talent having to be pulled from events even though the person does not actually have the vid. But also on the other hand...just wiping testing completely probably not the news you want a guy like Roman to be getting. There are definitely a few things at play here: 1. It eliminates a (presumed) financial burden for a company very much about cutting costs right now. 2. It puts the onus on the talent to be forthcoming when they have symptoms and get proactively tested themselves. 3. The bulk of positives they're seeing right now are asymptomatic and they're basing the decision on some of the reports seen that Omicron is a bad cold if boosted and vaxxed. In any event, it's a premature move and an especially dumb move to be announcing this right as they're getting nailed with some COVID cases and their f***ing top act is immunocompromised.

Official CDC guidance is still that if you’re fully vaccinated and have no symptoms, you don’t need to quarantine when deemed a close contact. But man, if only there was a way to somehow determine that they were positive in the first place. This company's all about doing the bare f***ing minimum and shifting any cost onto the workers instead of just doing the right thing and assuming it themselves.

I have no words. Vaccinated, asymptomatic people can still pass the virus on. That's why you test and isolate—to protect others, more so than yourself. And isn't wrestling all about protecting the people you work with from injury or harm?

It was originally 10, mind you, so it could have been worse. They've constantly changed stuff in the states honestly. I dunno if vaccination rate/availability has anything to do with it or what overall. The NFL is a unique case because of agreements that were negotiated between the league and players union which contributed to their changes... but even then if you are in close contact you are required to get tested. Most of the places that have the asymptomatic and vaccinated rule tend to have the ability to social distance in offices as well (like mine does) I think there are ways to approach this in a way people may not agree with but you can make sense. I just dont think WWE falls under that

WWE is doing the same thing the NFL and NBA want to do but are scared to do. Other sports leagues will do this next year.

Haha. Please, someone defend WWE's bullshit here. Go for it. It’s easy to defend as a business decision because every major sports league is going to do this next year. WWE is just the first to say f*** it and do it. COVID isn’t going anywhere and businesses like WWE are starting to realize that and pivot from the prior reality into the new one.

Imma be honest.
I'm not gonna be surprised if Reigns loses the belt soon due to this. If they're really this laxed on this stuff, given Roman's history, given Roman always stepping away due to it in the past, due to the fact that he was off Day 1, nah.
Roman is gonna be sitting out his contract or be let go. He ain't gonna put up with this.

I am very interested in how Roman Reigns handles this though.
I understand this from a business perspective but if your top star isn’t for this, then they have a big problem.
