Ruby definitely feels like the right choice to me, like zero doubt about this. A face to contrast Britt would be very welcome and she'd be great as a lynchpin while you build the women's midcard a bit.

The bigger question is not who will win but how will AEW handle a midcard women's title? Will AEW do a better job w the TBS title in treating it as important than WWE does with the women's tag belts?

Yeah, Ruby seems sure to do it. You give her Jade’s first loss and have her put on some bangers with various women either signed or unsigned considering how that title will be.

Ruby
Rosa works only if Britt's dropping the world title and they fight for the TBS one. Otherwise Rosa/Britt should be the Revolution Feud.

I feel like it has to be Ruby, and that she needs to eventually defeat Britt in a title match. Pay off the prior loss as well as Britt talking down on the title.
The emphasis on Ruby making it to the finals despite the lack of bye is also the best story in the tournament for the winner. It's an even better story if she's beating Jade coasting in on a dirty win over Rosa.

The TNT title definitely established a formula that will work for the TBS title, wherein the world title challengers get a build and TBS challengers come out of nowhere, whether debuting or just getting a shot by way of existing. It'll be hamstrung, though, by both the smaller women's roster and for the upturned nose with which Khan and co seem to regard a lot of women on the indies. Especially if Japanese and Mexican challengers can't be brought in regularly.

I sixteenth Ruby Soho on being the first TBS champion, as I feel like the real money is still in a Thunder Rosa facing off against Dr. Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Championship at either Revolution or Double or Nothing.
And I just don’t like the idea “if” Thunder Rosa became the inagural champion of them going into a champion vs. champion match so soon.
Looking at it from the same perspective of Cody Rhodes being the first TNT Champion, it seems the best way to establish the title is by having the inaugural champion a wrestler that is already established, which Soho is.
I’m also fine with her having short reign (between one and a half-to-three months) before putting the title on a Jade Cardgill at Revolution, Double or Nothing or a random episode of Rampage, whom then could have a nice lengthy reign before moving into the main event.

I'm honestly cool with any of the three winning, though I'm leaning Ruby a bit.
Wouldn't be surprised if Nyla ends up being the first woman to have won both titles down the line, though, regardless of who wins.

Ruby definitely should win the title imo:
-Thunder Rosa should take the tile off of Britt.
-Jade is not ready to be a champion yet.

I keep going back between Rosa and Ruby. I think its pretty clear they want Rosa/Britt 2 to be the big woman match of 2022 but in the mean time is it best to keep her busy with the title?
I think Ruby may be best option because we know she can put bangers on with almost anyone right now and establishing a new title on a new network sith a unique face seems best to me.
Shout out to Jade though. I originally thought he would be the first champ and I don't think she's a bad choice either for how protected she is. I just think as the tournament has gone along the other 2 make more sense.
But again I don't think any of the 3 are bad choices

Ruby Soho is perfect for it.
It establishes that she's awesome and her release is WWE's loss without just giving her a mega push.
It automatically puts some legitimacy to the belt because she's an established star.
Thunder Rosa is already established and over enough as a womens main eventer that she doesn't need it.
Jade is good but seems like she's still learning. I wouldn't put a title on her yet.

Not Jade. Give it to Rosa if she isn't about to beat Britt. Otherwise give it to Ruby.

Rosa needs to be the one to dethrone Britt, so Ruby. Jade is still green.

Considering Jade struggles in any match that is over a couple of minutes, putting a title on her at the moment would be a very bad idea.

Ruby is a good first champion plus I want Deeb to get the belt and she would make a great heel to get it off of her.

Jade would be the most marketable champion to be honest. And Rosa should be taking the belt from Britt soon, to prevent double heel champs.
However, the more entertaining champ would be Ruby. So I picked her.

If they are serious about Jade then she has to win. Personally Thunder Rosa is my pick.
