I don’t really watch this channel regularly but checked this out. Great discussion about Muffingate. Also enjoyed the recap of All Out since I didn’t watch it.

The racist mocking of Shida’s accent was super shitty

The racist mocking of Shida’s accent was super shitty Yeah, they still constantly do the racist stuff. Like don't forget how the whole Nogger thing even started.

The amount of Twitter drama with AEW and OSW directly is beyond the pale

As someone who didn't watch All out live... the Perry family has amazing hair

Dunno if I'll watch this one. Kind of a mix of feeling kind of too recent to really get lost in and also it being a show I wasn't interested in at the time that by most accounts was quite bad, feel like it'd just be kind of a painful sit.

Have to disagree with the boys ragging on Wild Thing. I love the song as Mox’s entrance theme. Comparing it to Orton using Killswitch Engage was also off I think.

Only a bit into the show. It’s kinda clear who watches AEW and who doesn’t. Comparing Team Taz to X-Factor… yea.

Only a bit into the show. It’s kinda clear who watches AEW and who doesn’t. Comparing Team Taz to X-Factor… yea. They have some really just bad booking ideas too... like continuing to Push Britt Baker then complaining that no one else in the division is over in the same breath... it's like guys... if you watched the show you'd realize that no one else is over because Britt buries the division with pretty much every promo. Also the idea of ditching the Jungle Boy gimmick entirely... when they also mentioned earlier about how Vince would take people from NXT and completely change them so what got them over in the first place wasn't there... like that's literally what you're advocating for there's no reason he can't still have all the stuff that got him over... AND be put in more important positions on the card.

Yeah I was super hyped for this one and was pretty disappointed
Wasn't as funny as I hoped and honestly felt like Jay didn't really give a shit about watching the show
I actually felt like OOC whose entire thing is not doing research or taking notes or giving a shit seemed to pay more attention and care more
V1 is one of the only people who seems to express AEW views that can be considered objectively wrong.
And yeah they still say racist shit. It's less than it used to be. But still happens.

Huh? At least looking in the live thread at the time a lot of people seemed pretty displeased with it besides the main event and Swerve in Our Glory / Acclaimed and the rate the show thread for it got some largely pretty low responses by AEW standards. Admittedly "bad" was probably the wrong word, but it does feel like a largely underwhelming show (that kind of resolved absolutely nothing since most storylines that were on it are still chugging along almost two months later) that I wasn't really interested in to begin with.

Given how long and how involved the edit on these things is, the fact the Shida impression survived the cut kind of makes me shudder for what they might not be including. It was an incredibly jarring attempt at a gag that'd make even the likes of Jim Davison squirm. Completely agree with your take re: research/interest levels.

Hoping they move away from modern wrestling and games soon. I don't really care about games and OOC-less episodes feel like Demolition with Crush and Smash. V1 had such a wild and weird set of takes on the AEW episode. The stuff he was saying about Kingston's look was like something somebody would say if they thought WWF had nailed what wrestling is back in the 80s and that other places and promotions are there to follow the blueprint and play catch up.

And yeah they still say racist shit. It's less than it used to be. But still happens. Even managed a bit in feckin SPICE WORLD?! Yeah, why would they change a lyric that said "yellow man" they were just trying to include people! You know! By using slurs! Did love them bringing the Eric Andre interview clip though. As for the film, one of my fav podcasts, also Irish oddly, The 250 did a review of this and it was good fun. It is what it is, a parody of its own existence, light fluffy fun.
