When Vince dies I truly hope Christopher Nowinski's group does medical research on his brain and maybe help children who were abandoned by their birth parent and abused by a step parent. Vince is a sick human being, he is a movie villain come to life. Maybe with some study on his brain it will help the childhood trauma of others, provide treatment for the youth and prevent more evil Vince McMahon's from becoming a reality. Y'all act like he's building nuclear bombs, or has an underage prostitution ring... He's just not pushing your favorite wrestler calm down...

I haven't even watched WWE since 2002 or 2003, whenever the Katie Vick angle happened. The man helped cover up a homicide, attempted to rape Rita Marie Chatterton, wanted his wrestlers to be the biggest they could be resulting in steroid use/premature deaths, put employees in sick sexual related angles which they could not refuse for fear of termination. Then there's turning a blind eye to years worth of treatment of other employees by guys like Bradshaw and while I personally don't think it's his fault what happened to Owen, he has some responsibility as owner. As for my "favorite wrestler," while I do follow the boards and other sites that have current WWE postings and I know who some wrestlers are in today's WWE, none of them are my favorites. Almost every single one looks like any old indy wrestler over the last 30 years.

Actually he's doing many many many other things apart from that like firing people in their dozens during a pandemic rather than just not pushing them, and that's not getting into the hundreds of other accusations or things you could hold him in some way responsible for, including more than one death, and, yes, a great deal of sexual misconduct. Not sure any of them were children, though, or being paid for their work, in fairness so maybe we should all calm down

Y'all act like he's building nuclear bombs, or has an underage prostitution ring... He's just not pushing your favorite wrestler calm down... Here's the thing. It's been known for some time that Vincent Kennedy McMahon's life has been addled with complications, including a childhood in poverty marred by physical and sexual abuse. That level of abuse, topped by a long career surrounded by toxic masculinity of varying degrees and types, has left him quite immured to pain in general and rather lacking in empathy towards those who have been through similar trials. He figures that, if he's been able to struggle through, so should anyone else. He has moments when he might feel _something_ in the face of a tragedy or a struggle, but these are rare and usually come out only when he has something to gain from the demonstration. This is a man, shaped so firmly by trauma, who will never even entertain the prospect of processing that pain in a healthy way.

This isn't an excuse for firing people, but please do not discuss his death, in the way you did. Research on his brain is a great idea, but please refrain from discussing his death.

Oh another trash a man none of us have ever met. That has as many supporters as detractors in his current and past. Is he a saint not likely. Is he the evil demon I see him depicted as in this site so often? Also very doubtful

Is he the evil demon I see him depicted as in this site so often? Also very doubtful I'm not seeing much trashing of the guy in this thread. I see a lot of inference based on what we know of the man which, given the position he has held for the last 37 years, is somewhat more than we might know about many other people. This is a discussion thread based on a noted quote from Vince, which clearly invited commentary drawing from that knowledge. It's also a casual discussion that probably won't have much import outside this board, so I fail to see how questioning a thread's value in the midst of the thread encourages discussion in said thread or, indeed, encourages discussion at all. Tl;Dr- we're just shootin' the shit, man. Why you gotta be tryna shut it down?

But I am so tired of the he is the devil that tends to override a lot of Vince threads

Vince is getting rid of negatives by having talent not be tested for Covid anymore. Now there will be more positives.
