AEW Revolution will take place on March 6th. Are they going to make us wait that long?

Ah, I prefer a slow burn in this case.

Yes. It’s big enough of a match that warrants it.
Personally, I think it’s great and don’t mind the stretch.

I have more than enough patience to wait. It’s been built up to be a huge match. Probably big enough to be part of a double main event with whatever the World title match is gonna be.

Well, I would prefer that at Revolution they have their final battle.
Preferably, it would be a Steel Cage Match!

They're individually entertaining enough that they don't even need to be involved with each other to string this out as long as possible. I'm happy to wait.

With the way it was ramping up it seemed like it couldn't wait that long but I think Punk did a great job in cooling it a little while simultaneously keeping the feud moving along in a logical way.

Good things come to those who wait. A watched pot never boils. Insert other phrase here.
They'll end up facing off at some point, and I think MJF gets the W.

For every "Let's rush to the Undisputed Era as fast as possible even though we could have taken our time and built a cool story around it reforming" we have to counter balance it with long term cool stuff like this.
Let it burn til March, the fans will be rabid to see it.

I'm of two minds on it. They could probably wait until March if enough other stuff is speeding along, but if some of these other feuds/angles are going to run long, I would want this for a big Dynamite in the interim.

It's too big of a match to have on free TV. They probably started the feud a bit too early but the Punk promo on Dynamite was a good way to keep it on the back burner for now until they can start it back up again.

I would’ve much preferred an extended feud with Kingston. Not a big MJF fan and this feud has already gone on too long for my tastes.

I think/hope The Wahrdawg gets involved. That match being scribbled on Tony’s pad has me wanting that match.

Tony Khan is completely incapable of pacing storylines so it very well might happen at Revolution

I understand why you'd feel that way, it's warranted. Personally it's ok with me because I'm entertained. Either way is cool.

Tony Khan is completely incapable of pacing storylines so it very well might happen at Revolution So many things drag on for too long. Sting and Darby v Team Taz. Cody v The Factory. Omega v Moxley. Miro and Kip v Best Friends. Jericho v MJF. Matt v Sammy. Sonny v Janela. Anna and Tay v Bunny and Penelope. Wardlow has been teasing turning on MJF for 2 years already. Cody's heel turn or whatever the endgame with him is. Even Page finally beating Omega. I think the best examples of perfectly paced feuds were Jericho v Moxley, Cody v MJF (both culminated at Revolution 2020 which is probably why that was the PPV I most looked forward to) and so far, Page v Danielson.

I think they've found a way to extend the feud in a way that makes sense. Essentially MJF, Wardlow, and Punk are all in a race to get a title shot post Bryan/Hangman. There are a lot of fun things you can do between now and Revolution to extend the feud given that dynamic.

I quite like the idea that they were heating up a feud and then MJF bottled it, and now Punk has to wait until their paths cross in a #1 contenders match
