There's a rumor she may be buried in Mineral Point, WI next to her late husband Allen Ludden. So that would be something.

And I just realized something...
2021 was also the 40th anniversary of Allen's passing.

A missed opportunity I mention in the SNL thread:
Password Plus did some all-star weeks where celebrities played as characters they portrayed. Examples: Vicki Lawrence and Carol Burnett as Mama and Eunice (they played a team with McLean Stevenson acting as characters from Hello, Larry) Patty Duke appeared during her week as both Lane cousins (yes, in 1981) Jon Bauman as Bowzer...oh wait... And yes, one week Betty was playing Sue Ann Nivens.
Flash forward to Super Password, where a special all-star week featured a team with Betty and Estelle Getty. (the others were Lucille Ball and Carol Channing). Imagine if the SPW producers did the same thing as PW+! Imagine Rose Nylund and Sophia Petrillo playing Password!
The downside would be that Lucille would most likely have to be her Life With Lucy character, and lord knows she'd LOVE to remember THAT outside of the show.
(sidenote: at least Sophia made it as a solution to a Golden Girls themed puzzle on Super Password)

You know, it says alot about a person when they make it to 99 years old and people still say she died to soon.

It's always great when a person gets to live that long, especially in good health but sad when they pass before the milestone. I was always excited in December, knowing Kirk Douglas had another birthday coming up and luckily he made it over 100. I know Bobby Doerr died just five months before his 100th birthday.
I was at the store Thursday and saw the Enquirer with the 2021 deaths which shows Cloris Leachman, Ed Asner and Gavin MacLeod on the cover, among others. It's incredible those three and Betty are gone in the same year. I was a huge Ed Anser fan and followed almost everything he did and I remember Ed Anser tweeting when Gavin MacLeod died that it was only he and Betty left and he would be seeing Gavin soon. That is sad but if their is a heaven all four should be there.

It's been one weekend and I still don't know if any celebrity death will ever impact me like this. It's like ripping off a Band-Aid, a big one. After this, what could surprise me/bring me down like this?

That is sad but if their is a heaven all four should be there. I know, I know, curses probably aren't real, but it's like this is too eerie, as I said. Same things happened in **20 last year... -The last of the Concentration hosts were picked off (Downs, Trebek, Bean [pilot]). - So were the regular Password hosts (Kennedy, Philbin....Betty was the last of those as she did host one episode of the ABC version. Which you can find on her Bet's Pets DVD set) - Ruby AND Spears both passed away the same year. As did Siegfried and Roy. Maybe one or more coincidences. With Betty, I can take solace it wasn't any kind of sickness and certainly not It Which Must Not Be Named. I wonder though if she thought of Allen being gone for 40 years this past year. I do believe broken hearts are real, at least a little bit.
