Agree with everyone who said this was a show of two halves. Hangman/Danielson and the Punk/MJF stuff were 10/10, the second half was more like a 5/10.

I pretty much liked everything so il give it a 9. Would rather Ruby won but Jade having her daughter ringside was a nice touch.
Minor criticism’s like Jericho’s arse promo & Black story not evolving but incredibly enjoyable show for me.

5 The 1st 30 minutes was great everything else was meh. Jurassic Express‘s win felt like it should have happened 1 or more years ago. Luchasaurus has cooled off a ton in the last year and Jungle Boy has surpassed him.He should be a singles star after they failed to capitalize on that Omega match last summer. Bryan vs Page should have closed the show. Did I miss them putting over the women’s barbed wire & blade job match from Rampage? There should have been a video package but maybe I just missed it cause I did switch to basketball a few times.

Besides the blah "Look at me, I'm here!" Britt segment, it was a fun show.
Also, I'm glad Taz wasn't on commentary. I'm getting sick of his "singing entrance themes horribly" shtick.

8. Enjoyable show over all with two excellent matches, and a few problems that held it down a bit. Is Jade the new Cody here? Only time will tell.

Great opener, Punk/MJF promo battle and decent tag title match. Would have been a 10/10 rampage.
Unfortunately everything else sucked. Once again no idea why they do promos back to back especially when the second is so bad. Serna's mood music was stupid. Singles wrestlers Malaki and Jericho watching on at the end was dumb. Pilman lol. Ruby thought she'd escaped looking this bad by leaving wwe. 2/10.
That's the trouble when rating. Does a five star match save an otherwise terrible show, does one bad segment ruin an otherwise strong episode? How do you rate something entertaining in isolation but damaging long-term? Is a solid filler episode a 5/10 for no ambition of 8/10 for having no faults.
Everyone will be different and probably not even consistent on their own criteria. I went 7/10. Could have gone a point either way.

Hmm. Well, the world title match was incredible, as was the Punk/MJF back and forth but man, can only call the rest of the show one big disappointment unfortunately. Jericho was awful, I just do not get Jade getting the TBS title at all, Black/Pillman was super awkward with no Brody King, and the main event was messy, even before Fenix's injury. First 50 or so minutes were 10/10, the rest was like a 5 and drags the overall score to an 8, for me.

Idk why Jericho was there but Black makes complete sense I assumed Jericho was there since he had that 10 minute match with Jungle Boy back when he was just a young rookie. Took it as a sort of "veteran looking at how far this kid came"

It's at the point now where it would be a nice change of pace to see the World Title match go on last, especially when it involves someone as good as Danielson as once that's over with you know nothing is going to top it.

They need to progress the Black stuff soon I think. It feels like they’re stalling a bit now.

I will say this as well, with the Pillman/Black match AEW fell again into a normal trap of having a squash go way too long Pillman in general feels like someone whose entire existence should be getting squashed on Dark and instead he pretty routinely gets matches and angles on Dynamite. I find it baffling because guy's just... really, really lame. Has Pillman actually won any of the singles matches he's had on Dynamite? I mainly remember him getting a promo segment with MJF where Max called his Mama a dope fiend and then getting beat pretty easily in their actual match, and then getting put down by Malaki Black He's a guy with some name value/positive vibes with the crowd from the recent darkside of the Ring episode(although that good will seems to have evaporated pretty quickly) who's used to put over heels. He's "good enough" to do that, although probably not much else with his current gimmick/skill level
