If every champion holds the title for multiple months, then long title runs aren't special. Long title reigns are the norm. Sprinkling in some 1 month title reigns make the long title reigns mean something. Also, it adds an unpredictability factor to the shows. You do a couple shocking title wins, then it enters people's minds that a title can change hands in any match. This is something both companies have failed at, you gotta have that anything can happen hook. The companies can't seem to find a happy middle For a good while we couldn't get title reigns over 3 months and then year long title reigns have become the norm The worst recent example of this was actually Nakamura's IC Title reign tbh. The dude had it and didn't defend it for like four months... then he lost it to Zayn Shit was ass, and they wasted King Nakamura and Boogs to boot with it which started as a really hot act. AEW could stand to have some reigns start going shorter this year, I'm just glad the TNT Title gets defended consiatently like the other belts even if some reigns last awhile

Also now BOTH of your Women’s Champions are:
A. Heels.
B. Arguably need to be carried to good matches.
Not a great look for the division there either.

She definitely needs to drop the title at Revolution at the very latest. Then lead her into a Hayter feud to get her away from the belt for a while.
Also bring back her talk show please.

I honestly haven't minded her feud with Riho since it at least has had Riho humbling her, like beating her clean. Still, yeah, she will be a lot better when she loses the belt. Her character works LEAGUES better when she had gripes. It just doesn't really work when she's on top of the world.
She earned her moment in the sun, and I don't begrudge her it, but Thunder Rosa, or whatever face, really could stand to cut her down to size.

I admire how she's improved her character work and made a name for herself but I find her whole schtick very forced and cringe.

Should've just dropped it to Ruby in their match, or to Thunder Rosa at Winter is Coming (or even sooner!).
As others have stated Britt shines more as the underdog who is unappreciated, and paranoid everyone is against her.
And if it goes back to Riho, I'll be very disappointed, when you've had Rosa and Ruby there whose reign would mean a bit more since they haven't had it before.
Britt feels like Lady Reigns, and no one is being built to topple her. So even if Riho does win, it'll feel underwhelming to me. Ruby's stock has plummeted, and Rosa seems to be venturing elsewhere in a feud.
I dunno, the women's division is so meh right now.
There's potential, but someone in the back needs to want to realize it.

Britt's Reign Of Terror needs to end at Revolution.

I think Britt has had a couple good matches that she wasn't carried and held her own (Velvet, Statlander, Tay) and honestly think her worst match was probably the Ruby match but that seemed more due to timing issues. But I said it last night too, it's so obvious they want the big match to be Britt/Rosa 2 that she has lost a lot of momentum since Revolution. I also think the fact they started planting the seeds for Hayter to leave Britt but stopped because they wanted to start doing it for Wardlow also killed some interest

I read this as "Veer ready for them to get to a damn point with Britt Baker" and was confused yet intrigued.

It's pretty telling that every single women's title in the major NA wrestling promotions (AEW, WWE) are all held by heels. Becky (RAW), Charlotte (SD), Mandy (NXT), Carmella/Zelina (women's tag titles), Jacy/Gigi (NXT Womens Tag). And in AEW, you have Jade and Britt.
It's like Tony and Vince met behind closed doors and decided to formally agree on misery booking everything surrounding the women. I will give Britt some credit though in that she seems to have defended her title more than the NXT women at least, with Mandy only having one defense after several months of actually holding it, and Jacy/Gigi having zero.

Britt’s reactions have definitely declined over the last few months. At first the crowds wanted to cheer her, but now it’s kind of mixed and not a loud mixed. She needs to lose the title and be out the title picture for a bit. I think a face turn could work for her but it would undercut Rosa and Ruby so probably not the best idea right now. She might work better as a face down the road.

Serena is going to be next in line for a title shot because she is going to beat Shida next week(Shida is heading back to Japan for Makai the first week of February and considering you need to do 14 day quarentine over there..) If Riho beats Britt she will be a transitional champ imo. I would not be mad at Deeb winning, and beating Baker so badly she comes out of it with a face turn. (maybe post-match, with time off-screen to follow)

I will keep beating the 'Ruby should've won at Grand Slam' drum til it breaks. Been over Britt's reign since then. They could've done Britt vs Rosa as the TBS final too had they gone with Ruby back in September. Instead we've got this pointlessly padded reign.

Britt’s feuds are just boring. With the exception of the Ruby feud, it tends to be the same thing every time. And even her promos have gotten same-y as well
And people know she ain’t losing until the Rosa match. So no tension either.
They need to get on with it already.

We need to stop calling every heel title reign "misery booking" when that's a very specific kind of thing. Britt Baker's reign is venturing into misery booking territory. But saying Jade's >24 hour reign as TBS Champion is misery booking is just stupid.

I think it’s the fact that SO MANY Women’s Champions are heels right now that bothers people
