I don't pay attention to WWE shows, so I can't really comment on their champions' booking (though I guess Charlotte is on her 50th reign at this point?). For American wrestling, I mostly watch AEW and Impact, and Impact's got strong faces for its current women's champion (Mickie James) and the intergender Digital Media Championship (Jordynne Grace).

The only major babyface champions in NA right now are Mickie (and there’s a very good chance she loses her title to Deonna Purrazzo in a few days, and the later has spent most of the last two years as a heel champ), Meiko Satomura in NXT UK (and again she might lose to a heel today) and Jordynne.
Everyone else is a heel. It’s so tedious at this point.

We need to stop calling every heel title reign "misery booking" when that's a very specific kind of thing. Britt Baker's reign is venturing into misery booking territory. But saying Jade's >24 hour reign as TBS Champion is misery booking is just stupid. As the guy who kind of invented the term, I agree it's not being used correctly. I originally made it as a counterpart to "fantasy booking", ie all those times when you're constantly thinking of the worst possible thing to be booked and seemingly willing that into existence, not necessarily just heels winning in general.

It’s not helping perceptions that Britt and Jade are the only women that Tony Khan is truly invested in either.

Honestly, a quick title turnaround wouldn't be such a bad thing. Having Britt be desperate and enraged and demanding to get her title back would probably freshen her up a bit, even if she quickly regains the belt from Riho. I know Tony is against hotshotting titles, but if every champion has a multi-month reign then it's hard to get too invested in their first few title defenses because they're foregone conclusions. At this point I'm ready for a pair of cup of coffee reigns instead of these 9 month or more runs actually with sammy and lucha bros they both had very short reigns by aew standards. outside of the two reigns by the Elite teams i've noticed the tag title runs have been shorter than the other titles. at least they seem that way with no evidence to back this up

Average tag reign length for Elite teams (Omega/Page and Young Bucks): 265 days Average tag reign length for everyone else (SCU, FTR and Lucha Bros): 89.67 days (67.5 days if you add Jurassic Express)

I'm all for Britt being champion but I do think a short reign to break hers up would've been nice. She could win it back and still have a big time rematch with Thunder Rosa. I like long title reigns as much as the next guy but you need some short ones every so often.

Riho is the perfect option for a short-term women's champ. She's got the skills and heart, but her size is always against her. She can believably lose to(or beat) anyone. Although I don't think it'll happen, I'd love for Riho to win on Saturday, even if she only has the belt a couple of weeks before dropping it back to Britt in time for the crowning of Thunder Rosa at Revolution.

As long as she is then on TV less and whoever beats her is on every week. Like her predecessors, women of colour, weren't.

She is beginning to make what WWE does with Charlotte look subtle by comparison.

I think the order is gonna be RIHO, a betraying Hayter, then finally dethroned by Thunder Rosa. So, that's like... Four more months lol

If they have Ruby lose another title match, ugh.

She gotta take an L and lose the belt because I'm bored with her. It's like Alexa's hold on the title for me. Yeah, I must admit Britt's title reign has grown vert stale since summer. The storylines behind her feuds are paper-thin and thus boring. *yawn*

They never should've let Ruby lose. Indeed, Ruby is in real danger of becoming a jobber to the stars type.

It's been like that for awhile with me. Why not have her drop the title for a month or so in one of her matches with Statlander or Ruby, and then when it back before the Rosa match? Or just... Do the Rosa match? No reason it couldn't have just been done ages ago, the build's already been done for it. And Britt sure as hell didn't need to hold the title for at this point eight months, the champion before her had it for a f***ing year. In general AEW really needs to learn it's okay for belts to have a little mobility once in awhile. Unless you're named Sammy you hold onto a belt forever in AEW no matter how lackluster your feuds or storylines are....

Brodie held the belt for a month, and dropped it before he got sick as was planned, Miro also did not hold the TNT title very long, and Lucha Bros had a fine tag title length so... they're starting to wane down on longer reigns a bit.

Who would win a Britt/Charlotte/Gail Kim triple threat?

Outside of the Bucks and Omega/Page, the tag title reigns were comparatively short. The TNT title in general seems to be shorter booked. The longest singular reign was Darby Allin's at 186 days.
Really just the Men's and Women's World Titles that have had long reigns as the norm for everyone.
