Wolfenstein 3D and the arcade version of Mortal Kombat at 6 years old. Wolfenstein 3D for me as well I played Wolfenstein 3D before there was a rating system. I’m pretty sure I can say that about a few Leisure Suit Larry games as well.

I'll add to everyone saying Mortal Kombat, also at around 6 years old.
Specifically MK2 on a emulator on my PC and MK Trilogy on PS1.

Not the first one but will mention Thrill Kill. Don't think it was ever officially released. Despite the gore, iirc, a fellatio joke was why it was banned.

I mean Mortal Kombat on the Sega Genesis is the best video game ever... I disagree. It's a very good game, but to me, Donkey Kong is the best game ever. Donkey Kong sucks!

Mortal Kombat on the SNES. Not sure how young I was but it was somewhere between 6-9 years old.

Probably GTA III when my brother got it. I was around 8 or 9 I think.

I dunno what the ratings are, so Doom or Duke Nuke 'Em or Mortal Kombat. Probably Mortal Kombat though.
My folks never really gave a damn what I watched or played.

I had a friend in elementary who was into Duke Nukem, so we devised a plan to play that game on PS1 and have Frogger out just in case his mom came in so we'd have an alibi. I remember he had these shitty wireless PS1 controllers that didn't work that well, so that wouldn't have helped matters if we needed to quickly leave a strip club or gorey scene or whatever in DN.
That one and Mortal Kombat 2 are the first 'mature' style games I remember playing and having certain friends' parents being iffy about. I got a little older and played RE & rented the first MGS game a lot, and that was never a problem. My mom gave me a little bit of grief was when I was playing GTA2, but this was before the GTA hysteria in the news took off, so that never went anywhere. I remember getting Vice City and her not wanting me to bring it to my cousin's house...that's the last time I remember being hassled about a game.

Retroactivley M-rated: A Strip Poker game for the C64, I think I was 7 or 8. As for actually M-rated games, Doom II. I was 16 at the time. Many of the responses make me feel super old and uncool.
