And after all that, Hamilton pinches one point for 10th place.

Assuming they get out the country safe, next race will be the first race in Australia since 2019, on a slightly-revised Melbourne circuit.

Apparently the entire result is up in the air because of the Albon/Stroll crash that brought out that late yellow flag. So much of the field have been noted as ignoring the local yellow.

Ross Chastain with a first career NASCAR Cup win, taking the checkers at COTA.

I'm not sure if he was joking or not, but Lewis asked his team if he even got points for P10 when he finished.

A Saturday night Las Vegas race has been announced for the 2023 Formula 1 season. This now makes for three races in the United States on the schedule for the first time since 1982 (COTA, Las Vegas, Miami).

The track layout looks insane, looks like a track from an arcade racer.
I donāt how this is going to work.. they are gonna shut down the street in Las Vegas for three to four days to accommodate this. I know there is other city tracks but Iām not sure any of them go through major tourist hubs like this one.
EDIT: OK from what I understand is that pit straight/the start finish line will not be on the The Strip section of the circuit, so Iām guessing there will be temp cordons during practice sessions, qualifying and the race.

Same here, always wanted to attend an international GP event. Been to the Australian F1 one in Melbourne a few times. And thought about seeing one hosted in the Asian and SE Asia continent. Been to Vegas before and had fun. So might look into this. Maybe not next year, but beyond that..

So a third race in America and here comes the end of F1 because theyāll start taking away races that have actual history in the sport like imola, silverstone Spa, and Monaco and some Americans on twitter canāt get their heads around Monaco being a race but without Monaco and the other classic races including the Australian Grand Prix and Japanese Grand Prix there wouldnāt have been a sport for the vast majority of Americans to discover. I mean weāve seen it with the European super league fiasco that the two visions of sport in America and elsewhere are just different.

Recent courses dropping off the calendar have been newer ones like India and Russia, ones in danger are ones with massive financial problems which, even with history behind it, you can't keep supporting. If anything they've been adding more and more races, this year is the longest of all time. 3 is a bit much sure, but multiple races in 1 country have been happening for decades. Italy has regularly had that under the guise of the San Marino GP. As for the European Super League, different sport, and that was pretty swiftly put down.

Iām just someone who loves F1 and donāt want it ruined. Well Italy is a bit different due to its history in this type of motorsport but I understand your point. swiftly put down for now.

America getting three races is actually fine with how big the country is.
Where people should actually be directing their ire at are the GPs in countries like Saudi Arabia, China, Azerbaijan, etc., in the incredibly unlikely scenario of classic races actually being taken off the calendar. Keep in mind the FOM CEO was quoted recently as saying he could see up to 30 races on the schedule. So nothing is being taken off, even while leaking negotiating tactics like Spa being in danger.

Unpopular opinion but I wouldn't be at all upset if Monaco was removed from the F1 Calender.
It's time people took off the Nostalgia glasses and just see that it's not a very good track for Modern F1 Cars. The only thing interesting is the Qualifying.
Don't get rid of Spa though.. You can have the Rain mind you.
