A general chit-chat of promotions that have closed down, I'll start.
AWF
American Wrestling Federation;
1994-1996
Had notable names like Valentine, Don Murraco, Tito Santana, Tom Brandi.
Every match had Rounds and judges similar to ROH Pure rules. Tito Santana was the top babyface champion, feuded with Bob Orton Sr.
I got a DVD with a bunch of AWF matches as a gift, It wasn't bad just duller than dishwater.

UWF was red hot from May 1986 to April 1987!
Then they were secretly purchased by Jim Crockett Promotions and slowly fizzled out.

Herb Abrams' UWF (AKA: The land of cocaine and hookers)
The history of the promotion's "behind-the-scenes" is leagues better than the wrestling itself.

WXO They aired for maybe 4 weeks on the Buffalo Fox affiliate in maybe 2000/2001. I remember Ted Dibasie being the GM and I think Stan Land on commentary. That's about it.
USWF United States Wrestling Federation Had a show at a single A baseball stadium during the summer of maybe 1997, give or take a year. Was headlined by Tito Santana vs. Iron Sheik. It seemed like a touring show that summer, never really found much more than that on them.

I was mega bummed out when my local TV station dropped the program. Quality wise it deserved a seat at the table with the big boys (WWF and NWA). With AWA and World Class circling the drain and no longer relevant, UWF briefly had a shot to move up a notch. It's unfortunate how quickly it fell apart. When Crockett bought it, he should've kept it going separately from NWA.

All Star Wrestling out of Vancouver BC. I was really young so I don't remember a lot but the few things I do..
- Moondog Marrety was the top baby face. - Crybaby Cannon? - Ed Carl saying " come on down to pick up your tickets to be in the studio audience. - Diamond Timothy Flowers - King Kong JR Bundy - A guy that ripped off Jesse Ventura - A young John Tenta wrestled for them.
- Was on 3:00pm on channel 11 CHCH TV in Toronto.

WWA. It was like early TNA but Australian and also shite. Also Jerry Jarrett never got involved in a cocaine smuggling operation.
At least not as far as anyone knows.

So that's why they did international tours despite no TV presence and barley even advertised themselves.

Used to watch that on BCTV from Vancouver. Promotion was run by Al Tomko, his two sons wrestled as Rick Davis and The Frog (he used the Frogger theme for his music). "Earthquake" John Tanta wrestled there for a while before joining the WWF, he was the biggest name I remember seeing there. Mauro Ranallo started out there. I also remember the time Diamond Timothy Flowers and King Kong Jr Bundy had a tag team and broke up during an interview... they had the tag titles and Flowers smashed his belt into Bundy's face and he was gushing blood on TV.

Does Wrestling Society X count? Yep. Any promotion that is no longer running counts. This includes Chikara, Which I miss

This is one no one will know since it was a Florida indy that died in like 3 shows. There was a promotion called GEAR.
Didn't stand for anything. It was just GEAR. The first show was called First Gear and the last show took place on a Jai Alai court.
