I do hope they get a Hammerstein match for GCW just because.

Far from it. They were going really strong in 2019 until the pandemic ruined everything. I saw them main event an APW show in San Francisco in October or November 2019 vs Contra Unit. Met them after the show and got my NWA replica tag belt signed. I had already gotten it signed by Arn and Tully the year before. It's a center piece of my collection.

I thought they would just do an occasional nostalgia payday match. Didn’t though they were still wrestling full time.

In fact Ricky Morton made history as the oldest wrestler to wrestle on the longest wrestling show for GCW last year.
I hope they lose in AEW to The Young Bucks just for the Cornette rant.

I thought they would just do an occasional nostalgia payday match. Didn’t though they were still wrestling full time. They wrestled Santana and Oritz for a GCW event Wrestlemania weekend in 2019. That along with the NWA revival really gave new life to the RNR. They wrestled for ROH, NJPW, GCW, APW, were featured in a segment on Dynamite and I'm sure they appeared for several other small Indies all in 2019. They also got one last NWA tag title run and were featured prominently on NWA Powerrr all right before the pandemic. Their comeback was one of my favorite things in all of wrestling in 2019. Yet another thing that was stolen from us due to the pandemic.

If there's any two guys who deserve the sweet Flair send off, before Flair ruined it, it's Ricky and Robert.

In his post he says this is the retirement tour for him and Gibson teaming. While he could still go a few years ago, Gibson had some health problems catching up with him. So they have been teaming less in the past year.
This gives them a good send off together as a team, but Ricky can still do stuff with his son. It’s well deserved.
What’s crazy is they were “old” in 97 (both were actually in their early 40s) they did seem like a relic from the 80s, but due to their longevity they actually went full circle and became bad ass again in recent years because they were actually old and could still kick your ass.

Their run on Powerrr late 2019/early 2020 was great. Just one of the many shit things about the pandemic was that Ricky Morton genuinely looked like he was going to do a proper programme with Aldis and the NWA heavyweight title before the world shut down.

They definitely deserve at least one match in AEW before they go, FTR or THe Bucks would be perfect opponents.

As of right now the Rock N Roll Express is booked for Widowfest this spring. They worked the show last year and sold out of all their merch in less than 30 minutes.

Yeah, I definitely think AEW should bring them in to do a match with either FTR or the Bucks, not sure which.

Well, look at this dream match that nobody thought of until 2022 when both teams are nearing their end.

Well, look at this dream match that nobody thought of until 2022 when both teams are nearing their end. Who had "The S.A.Ts would return to wrestling and face off against a retiring Rock 'n Roll Express" on your bingo card? If you say yes, you're actually a liar.

Oddly the Widowfest event I mentioned in this thread got changed. Ricky isn't going to be there but Robert is. From what I keep hearing Robert is retirig this year.
