Here is some more data on this from WrestleTix. Keep in mind that this is purely how many people were there. WWE is usually able to paper shows with about 500 folks when they aren't selling out but it can sometimes be higher like it was last night. SmackDown is currently averaging over 1K more fans per show and have been doing above the average recently whereas RAW has only been above their average once in the past 12 weeks. RAW: SmackDown:

Big Time Becks should change her name to Small Crowd Becks. Just kidding, I just wanted to make that terrible joke.

I'd like to think fans are finally fed up with the concept of attending a 3 hour RAW. I can't get through them in-person anymore. I honestly think any wrestling company asking its fans to sit around for 3-4 hours of TV tapings is just asking for too much. Even Dark/Dynamite/Rampage in one night is a lot. I don't know how people did the marathon Superstars tapings back in the day. 3 hours is too long and from what reports say too much sitting around while video packages play. A four-hour taping where the matches are taped in their entirety (in one segment), dark matches are interspersed with the TV matches and the promos get their own segment where _everyone_ has eyes on the promo? Sign me up please. Those things fly by and are probably the best value for any wrestling fan. The minute they went live, the fans became set decoration and not the audience.

Even before I lost interest in WWE, I gave up on going to the tv shows. House shows are much better. The last Raw I went to was one of the last shows before Wrestlemania 27. It was almost all promos with no matches of note. And 11pm is too late to just leaving an event on a Monday night.

Even if I were given a ticket for free I wouldn't attend Raw or SmackDown right now. One, COVID, and two, so little actually f***ing happens on these shows (and what does happen is uniformly designed to make you miserable) you'd just be wasting your damn time to bother coming there for it.

The last WWE show I went to live was in January 2020. It was so bloody boring. Just nothing going on and I have attended only AEW shows since.

*shrug*
WWE's production will still make it sound like the house is packed. I just feel bad for anyone who paid to sit there while they pipe in cheers for Omos, like anyone would want to be associated with liking Omos.

I’ll be going to Raw in March, not so much cause I’m dying to go but because only Smackdowns ever come to Jacksonville.

A modest proposal.
Move RAW to Sundays.
With the exception of the night after Wrestlemania.
The PLEs are on Saturdays now.
It’s time.

There's no f***ing way I'm travelling at bare minimum 3 hours each way, probably more like 7 these days, to watch them film a TV show I won't watch for free.

I mean you can literally hear and see the enthusiasm from the crowd die as the show goes on, especially on RAW, so it doesn't shock me their attendance is slipping
The show is three hours of nothing right now.

I remember nothing else from the show. I can't see myself ever going to a Raw/Smackdown again at this point. Honestly, the only thing I want to go see live with respect to WWE is the Royal Rumble. I should be going this year in St. Louis (I'm in the Chicagoland area... a bit of a hike, but doable) but I just couldn't do it. I don't care more than just watching it on Peacock to see who shows up in the Rumble. edit: I went to Mania 22, so I've been to one of those.

If I need to have, quite a few, drinks, just to get through Raw on TV. I cannot imagine how tedious it must be to sit their live in person.
