And didn't accomplish anything?
...
That's the message. Also, I know why they had to have it go long but that match stunk.

Big signings really picked up right around the time he debuted the Elite Hunter thing so I definitely understand why it didn't go anywhere, but I wish it did cause Frankie looked rly reinvigorated when it first started and I liked seeing that as a TNA fan that basically grew up watching the dude. I got this dude in a trading card pack when I was either not yet in to or Just got in to TNA and didn't know who who this sweaty dude in my hands was, but then he showed up on TV and it was like oh shit it's the card guy.

To be honest to me Kazarian's always going to be that guy who quit WWE over being told to cut his hair then immediately cut his hair.

That and Brody King & Malakai Black vs. the Varsity Blonds appearing to have been cut a bit short thanks to Griff Garrison taking a nasty bump.

The match was long because Kazarian was working with Archer to get him back into wrestling shape. Kazarian is a utility player, and he's credible enough to be a threat to Archer and they needed to fill the 10 minutes of the FTR spot. When the Elite Killer gimmick didnt get over, Kazarian went back to being a lower mid-card veteran, which is his spot.

To be fair, he did cost them a number of matches. He just really should've beaten Gallows and I'll never understand why he didn't unless Impact just straight up refused to let him job and in that case, I'd close that door too if they're not going to let Doc Gallows of all people lose a singles match.

This He did pretty good job neutralizing their interference and basically being a thorn in their side I'm not really sure how far people were expecting that to go

wonder if Kaz is one of those people whose contracts are about to expire in the coming months so he's going to fill the carpenter's role from this point. as the elite hunter he basically just beat up cutler and nakazawa the whole time and didn;t figure into any kind of endgame as far as the elite went. i can see spears also on this list after tonight as well.

Kaz losing to Gallows is a fine line to draw if you're giving that shit away I mean, I think Impact having Kenny as their world champion was great for them and a pretty sweet deal. And the Good Brothers almost always won on AEW TV including in a title defense on Dynamite. Gallows could take the loss.

It's a work. That's one of the 15 jello shots that Jericho takes before doing commentary.

I like that Kazarian's entrance continues to be a Norm Macdonald tribute.

They used him and his interference during a period where it never really got to matter in the bigger picture. He'd neutralize interference for low-stakes matches, often ones that would still go the Elite's way anyway, and had zero role to play in their downfall. It would be a lot more justifiable a schtick if he had impacted a match that mattered more or cost them a match that set up contenders they actually lost to, but I think by the time the Lucha Bros were in the tag title picture the act was already done. It was short-sighted at best and pointless filler at worse. He was a thorn in their side, but they just kinda pulled the thorn out and kept on trucking.

Yeah, the Elite Hunter gimmick should have at least paid off in him neutralising attempted interference when either the Bucks or Kenny lost their belts, preferably the Bucks since that would be more karmic. No idea why AEW didn't do that, since it rendered his quest for vengeance completely pointless.
