Right now, AEW has two titles for the women to compete for. One is the clear top title, and the other seems to be more of a midcard title. I think that in its short lifespan, they've done a pretty good job of handling that, with the Anna Jay title defense being really good, especially taking both women's inexperience into account. TBS pushed for Jade Cargill as their first champion, seemingly, which, makes a ton of sense given TBS/TNT seem to take an active interest in who AEW pushes and grooms as top prospects.
Anyway, the time will surely come when one woman has won one belt and moves on to the other. Who do you think accomplishes this feat first?
Now, I do not mean a "Becky Two Belts" situation. While there exists the chance of them doing that with the titles at some point, I'm sure, it's a gimmick that has run a little dry in recent years, and it is far too early in the TBS Title's lifespan for that kind of thing, anyway.
Part of me thinks it could be Nyla Rose. She's popular, she was given arguably the least impressive Women's title run, and has been kept pretty strongly pushed. There is basically no one on the roster who she has faced more than once that she hasn't beaten in at least one match that I am aware of.
Riho is another strong contender. She was already good, but has only gotten better since her return. She also managed to have a genuinely solid feud with Britt despite Baker's title reign losing a lot of steam. Granted, it helped she was actually getting the better of her for most of it and having the champion on the run for a change, but still, she's been electric.
Right now, Hikaru Shida doesn't seem that likely. She's well-liked and very skilled, but as much as her matches with Deeb have been great, the feud hasn't made a whole lot of sense after a point, and it's stalled both women out as a consequence.
Britt feels like the least likely candidate, honestly. I am not ruling out that it'd ever happen, but even once she has lost her title, I don't really think they'd move her to try for the TBS title, much less win it, for quite some time.
This leaves Jade Cargill herself, the sole TBS champion so far. It's too early to know exactly what the endgame will be for the TBS title, but one imagines it will be her getting some seasoning as a talent with a variety of challengers until a face probably topples Jade. After that, maybe she tries for the top title, and by then, hell, she may be ready for just that. Stranger things have occurred.
Of course, it could be that some other woman entirely pulls off both, but that seems like quite an unlikely event. What do you think, though?

Can't see Britt slumming it with a midcard title.
My vote is for Jade.

Can't see Britt slumming it with a midcard title. My vote is for Jade. I'm of two minds on it. Whenever she does lose the title, she might lose prominence for a bit to recharge, but they might just have her be part of Cole's act for a bit. Either way, yeah, I don't think it will be her. Part of me keeps leaning Nyla or Riho. Those are the two who I feel like would get the most out of it. Of course, also could get Shida back on track, potentially.

Can't see Britt slumming it with a midcard title. My vote is for Jade. depends if britt makes a face turn after losing the title due to shenanigans where someone turns on her and leaves her laying. then she does a redemption arc since no face in the locker room is going to trust her as far as they can throw her and so britt decides to prove herself by going after the TBS title first (ideally a face has the women's title at this point and a heel has the TBS one). though this might drag out too long and someone beats her to it. Jade depends on what happens when she takes her first L. does she fade into the background a bit to polish up her skills or immediately go for the main title? I suppose Nyla is most likely in the end since she only needs the TBS title and already has a bit of heat with Jade from the triple threat with them and rosa they can make into a storyline irresistible force vs immovable object sort of thing. riho i don;t think so- she's back and forth to japan too much i feel. shida is possible as Jade hasn;t faced her yet so it's a fresh program. only two of the "haven;t won either title yet" women that might sneak in would be 1) thunder rosa since she's seen as the inevitable dethroner of britt- may decide on how long she keeps the belt and 2) Tay conti as she also hasn't faced Jade yet so is a possibility to dethrone her and by then britt would not likely be the women's champ to avoid the rematch there.

Nyla vs Jade would be interesting from a standpoint of who would be the face of the match. If Jade was winning, it'd probably be her, but if Nyla beat her, it'd be good to just flat out turn her face for it. An aside, but I do think there's a certain level of irony in some people trying to push the idea of Nyla having an unfair advantage, a nakedly transphobic argument, but AEW has had a surprisingly large amount of women who were bigger than her, some current, and some in the past. Jade's definitely taller. KiLynn King (doing her own thing on the indies but seems to pop back around from time to time), Awesome Kong, and Mel, too, are bigger than her, and Kris Statlander's honestly not far off, herself. Nyla has a lot of presence, and is doubtlessly strong, but she performs bigger than she actually is, if that makes sense.

Could see Britt taking the TBS Title off whoever takes it off Jade. Probably Ruby I guess.

If it ain't Britt I'd be surprised.

I think it's a lot more likely that Jade will eventually move up to the women's title than Britt will go down to the TBS title.
Though I could see Shida or Nyla getting a TBS title run. Maybe not anytime soon, but I could see it.

When Britt loses the title, she needs a looooong time staying away from any title. I feel Jade won't be as drawn out once she loses her belt.

I feel pretty strongly it'll be Jade, TBH. When she loses the TBS Championship I think it'll start her march towards the world title. I think this run is to get her ready to be that figurehead of the division.

Probably either Britt or Jade since they're the only women they actually care about.

Could honestly see Shida if just because I could see the Deeb feud eventually morphing into Shida chasing her down for the TBS strap (though the first question there is who wins it off Jade initially, how Deeb eventually gets it, etc).
I do like Nyla as an option, though, makes a lot of sense.

Nyla. Always seems to come back around to her when it comes to title shots.

Britt won't even have dropped the Women's title yet when she wins the TBS belt.

I dunno but I hope one day Deeb holds them both. That's an amazing visual.

I'll say Britt would do it first, because I don't think Jade would do it if she holds the TBS Championship for a long time

As much as I don't want it to happen, Jade Cargill. It's obvious that the TBS Title is playing the role of the IC Title... it's to prep someone for the main strap and that's what Cargill will go after she loses the TBC Championship
