There's a lot of "Can I copy your homework?" going on here.
especially the fueling robot in the second image.
And I still can't get over his pitch was Kurosowa meets Star Wars... since again... THAT IS STAR WARS.
also... is Army of the Dead really a franchise? They say they had a prequel and someting else... but like it's not something I've ever heard anyone ever speak of.

The prequel came and went like a fart in the wind. Better than it had any right to be, but a big part of that is likely because Snyder had very little to do with it. Going forward there's an anime movie and a sequel, Planet of the Dead.

Also again if you wanted Star Wars that leaned more into Kurosawa... (assuming that's what Snyder's on about and not a complete misunderstanding that Star Wars is heavily built on Kurosawa)

What if the Kurosawa movie he means is Ikiru, and this movie is a meditative exploration of mortality and meaning, and the alien invasion doesn't have much to do with anything?

I can't wait for all the lovely tweets from dignified people saying that this movie is what Star Wars should have been like if it wasn't injected with woke garbage. Which ignores that Star Wars has always been "woke", hell science fiction like comic books has always been "woke". Unless, those people complaining about politics and social issues in science fiction think that something like the Twilight Zone had no political or social statements. And I still can't get over his pitch was Kurosowa meets Star Wars... since again... THAT IS STAR WARS. Next up, a western that meets Logan.

This is the only Bloodaxe I acknowledge. Marvel's Bloodaxe dazzles in his new one man Broadway show 'Axe Me To Sing!'

We unironically have TrekBros who rant and rave about how woke Discovery is. Granted, it wasn't as prevalent in the shows when Rick Berman was heavily involved (when he wasn't being a scumbag to the female actors anyway), but even he didn't mute it entirely.

It drives me up a wall that Netflix is running around blaming their precipitous dropoff in subscribers on people sharing accounts, yet haven't once looked at the fact that they're paying millions to a chucklef*** like this with a fan base that proudly days that it would rather pirate his stuff.
God, I want this to bomb so badly now.

I hope the movie is actually good, but who knows until it's actually out.

God, I want this to bomb so badly now. I don't want it to bomb... but nothing I have seen has made it look like anything unique and is massively derivative and will likely going to just end up as one of the thousands of wanna be Star Wars that have come out since Star Wars.

It's literally just his rejected Star Wars pitch with the Star Wars references removed, and his Star Wars pitch was just Seven Samurai in Star Wars. Whichever way you slice it, it's wholly derivative.

Is he really hard up or does Snyder have some blackmail material on him? Because I can't imagine a knight of the realm who has two Oscars was chomping at the bit to star in a Star Wars fanfic from the man who gave us Lex Luther pissing in a jar.

Hopkins doesn't make any apologies for taking an easy paycheque these days.

He's got enough in his backlog to prove he can handle artful pictures... but also makes no bones about doing films for cash too.
