Much as it would bring a few groans and eye-rolls on here, I think WWE would be smart to have Cody and HHH feud for Mania. You know Trips would bury him. Oh no doubt. He'll do exactly what he did with Punk. Unretire, win, retire again. Just to say he did so. Especially now that he's got nothing else to look forward to in WWE. Match would still bring in a few tickets and views, though.

If not Hunter, then Randy Orton would be your next best bet.

It would be just a matter of time until he gets fed to Brock or Roman but hopefully he could get something good beforehand

And even if Hunter could wrestle, not sure how much of a rub Cody would get from beating The Game after an overlong match with Trips wrestling his patented "BIGGEST BADASS EVURRR-AH!" style.

No lie, the only time I have ever been entertained by Cody was when he was Stardust

He is only about 12 years younger then Jerry Lawler was when he had a heart attack on Raw,I could really see them not allowing Hunter to ever wrestle again

Yeah, I am of the assumption that the days of Triple H having any sort of serious wrestling match, much less the 30 minute dramas he was known for in the 2010s, are done. He might be back eventually to hit a Pedigree and some crotch chops at some point, but that's about it.

Sign him to a big money contract then fire him before the end of Q2 to show the investors how much money they saved.

Honestly, that is what they are paying for signing Cody.
He could stay in catering, but this is all they are truly after.

Color be surprised to be wrong if he wins a world title if he signs back there, I see the IC Title, US Title, I could see some big feuds... but I just don't trust Vince to give him a sustainable push, even if they pay him a truck load. This for them just reads that they want an AEW guy, and they want to brag about taking an AEW guy "away from them" if they did do it.
But y'know, Vince doesn't care about AEW, lol.

They have to make a good faith effort with Cody so that when more talent becomes available, they can point at him as proof that they're going to make it worth your while

It's a win-win if Cody is pushed right... hard if.

It would be awesome if they reintroduced him as Logan "The Grenade" Davis and didn't acknowledge any of his history whatsoever.

They already know how AEW is run, they aren't a huge corporate machine, wrestlers have say in their characters, they don't read scripts oh and they treat them like people and don't mass fire anyone. All things the WWE has no interest in adopting because once upon a time they did most of those things.

If Cody and Roman ever were to have a match, the entrance time alone would be a combined 20 minutes

I didn't say that, I said I don't have confidence in them booking or treating Cody well on a consistent basis. I can buy a rocket push out the gate, I can buy him doing well, but the sustainability is another story, and I would believe it along with him signing to begin with when I see it I do think it helps AEW regardless, they f*** him up, it's incentive not to go there, they do right by him, it's an AEW guy who raised his stock as an AEW guy much more than when he was originally in WWE, going back and doing better than he ever did, it'd prove that "AEW Guys" aren't second fiddle, which yes, might help WWE in terms of trying to get future AEW talent, but as I said, it's all about the sustainability of the booking and the presentation, and I think I'm right to not have confidence in that until I see it lol
